Trent700. You are welcome. I have been using Iweb ( part of Halifax ) platform as they don't charge for ISA , inactive account and £5. dealing charges.

Trent700. Advantage of investment trust is your eggs are not in one basket and also you can buy and sell like shares. (This are not get rich quick or loss quickly ). Also you can choose global UK only or any country in the world or select by sectors. One of the oldest is FCIT.

Do research before investing and choose a investing platform. (Don't use the one FGP transfers your shares to they are very expensive )

Trent700- There is no way government is going to buy FGP or any other companies. They don't have the money and don't want the hassle. They will end the contract or even cancel as they are allowed if they don't perform. With busses it will be like Manchester or other ways to control by local authorities. It will be difficult for First to win and maintain these. If you were or are an employee why not sell and invest in investment trust as then all your eggs are not in one basket.

I found very competitive holidays to Dubai on BA Sale for next year.

GeorgeW1995 - All airlines charge for selecting seats but they will give you seats together expect on budget airlines. Also on Emirates they allow you to change seats when you checking on line. I am not sure if BA does the same.

On Emirates we never had any issues with seats. I haven't travelled recently by BA as they don't have flights from Birmingham. Did use BA 8 year ago, didn't have any issues with seats.
