I like the MTL management, and they know how to get the most out of the tailings and ground, with the better grades in NIC, it wont be too long before MTL are raking in the cash, great news for the locals too.

The asset would be more valuable to Calibre, its on their doorstep and they have the plant up and running, wouldn't take much to get the other mill installed at their site, less than 2 years payback, and multiple other gold prospects within CNR license, all ready to be dug out.

lest see what the week brings, im sure it will be on the agenda of the BOD at Calibre. they wont just come out with a counter offer tomorrow, i think it will be on Wednesday

On reflection its probably a good deal, if no other offers come through, approx 10p in cash and 4 shares in Metals even with the Sp falling back 10% today that's just over 5p, and they have some great prospects, are producing Gold creating a substantial cash pot, with other targets being drilled, and news expected before year end, Metals have been over 6p this year, imo good potential going forward into 2025, tempting??

I would have thought they would have discussed this over a beer or two, a certainty , imo and Jim converts his holding to Metals x 4 shares , he will be a major holder in Metals, he has obviously calculated that metals will grow much faster than CNR ever could, if any other Company have considered making an offer, they will be frantically calling Board meeting to discuss, only two days doesn't give them much time, though any suitor will have already done their homework on CNR

any movement between now and Wednesday will indicate which way it is going to go, imo
