RE: GH to manage a smooth change over16 Feb 2021 08:22
I think we need the new man to pull a rabbit out of the bag to steady the ship !!
OzAu, and others need to get real, I have explained all in other posts today, and as you say you have lost money due to the fall in price of GGP, if you had all on £1 million of pension in GGP.
Who made the decisions that you should invest in GGP I assume you.
Who left all your money in a share at an ATH price.
I read you post of 12 Mar 2020 13:05, you say "defo time to switch off and come back when everything has calmed down"
Great advise today.
You go on in the post with "could be a good Christmas 2020 .." and it was so you invested in May or before at less that 9p and the share had you at £1 million in December.
You should know is something seems to good to be true it most likely "is" it was your decision to leave your money in the market, posting here blaming others for your impudence, shows that it is not anything to do with GGP that your pension is at similar levels to early 2020. The say you pay to learn, you have learnt at a great cost, I am sure if you had diversified at December 2020 you would not have had such a great loss on paper and practically on your drawing. Lets be positive and hope that others will learn by you story and hope other understand share in AIM are really long term investment 2-3 years is almost trading.
Some on here must live in Cloud Cuckoo land, and have never has a position that requires you to deal with anything other tan the purchase of a house (and in that you are lead by the estate agent and solicitors, in which case you have most likely never knows that there is more than one way to own a house) and relatively small investments. Nothing the types of thinks that pass a CEO'S desk regularly.
When GH decided/or was forced to leave, the share price started to fall, the markets do not like uncertainty. At the same time most other Junior miners share up to today have had serious falls in there share prices.
Coming into a company with this background, the tasks were to stabilise the business, otherwise Newcrest would have taken GGP out. In order to be anything other than an explorer then the management had to reinvent itself, which has happened with the new BOD.
To get the business in the form it is ,has took a lot of hard work we now are solvent, and going forward I expect that there will be a lot more issues that you will choose to complain about, but smell the coffee and realise that this is business, WE (PI's) never had the finance to get the company to the position it is (correct me if you do have the £mill hidden away).
On the back of Greatland in 2020 a lot of junior miners valuations were inflated, and as Greatland were going into a situation of not having resources to fund their commitments, I (now) think that GGP was most likely the share with the most inflated price. I remember when GH sold his shares, he knew the financial situation GGP were in, new share holders who had bought in late 2020 should have sold then, hindsight is a wonderful think, me included and I have continued to buy (at prices that I consider (considered) the share price cannot go much lower, I made the decisions and only me .
Before moaning and whinging you need to understand you make the decision and only you, so it is your responsibility, not anyone on here or on the BOD of GGP past or present. Shares are medium and long term investments, that is 5 years being the start of medium and 10 to 25 being long, and I will not be here in 25 years but still consider this investment good for my family.
The BOD have to work within the rules of the Stock market, a lot of you post as if they are free to give out information as and when they like. Be assured that we would not have the deal with Rio or the facility with the banks if the BOD acted in the way you want them to act.
With regard to Havieron we are minor partners, the lead partner leads, at the moment the lead partner looks like changing at a high level but the lower levels of management in Newcrest/Newmont will be the same. Some of you think that you can rub these people up the wrong way and it will not have an adverse effect that you can then come on here and complain about, but you would must likely shoot yourself in the foot.

MH01 there is an old stock market saying 'sell in May and go away' I think it is good advise to stop looking at the share price till September, and learn that change in the share prise do not change the number of share I have (I have bought as these low (hopefully) prices), the day I sell will be the day I win or lose, the day will not be in 2023 or 2024.
Very relapsed
Good posts Dip

The share price has dropped and I do not like it, BUT when I started infesting in GGP, GGP was in effect bankrupt, it has commitments that it could not fund. FACT

So please stop insulting others do your research and try to understand, if the share is not for you try Rolls Royce or Severn Trent or other shares without the risk profile of AIM shares
Try three, great post delusionalposters blame the wrong person.
MH01 as you say GGP was worth nothing in real terms when the share was 34p, under old management. The best BODin the world does not ensure an upwardly mobile share price, but as others have said 'you cannot undiscover gold' so it is hold for gold.
I have have not lost a single penny by the share price, if you are a trader you may have, but until you sell the value is there, the value you, not me or SD invedted in, you made the decision to invest.
Stop moaning about the share price which by definition if you are moaning is in your opinion too low against the value of the business. so stop moaning, buy and get a bargain,
James some people read posts that say there will be, and amazingly they believe them.
GGP have not said there will be a raise, at the moment fully funded so any raise will be for further delelopment of the GGP prospects.
Some posters do not realise that without funds raised the share would have no value today, GGP would most likly not exist, they need to understand what is happening, and not expect to get back to 20p for a couple of years, in the mean time top up with what will long term be very cheap shares.
A message for thouse that do not undestand "If you cannot stand a substancal drop in spare prices you should not be investing in AIM shares."

I am not sure on the valuation of 70% of Havieron, this must be good
but
The valuation of Telfer on its own is a massive negative figure
So I think you get Havieron with a Plus, and Telfer is a Minus, I think separately valued that Telfer liabilities outweighs Havieron Value at this point in time.
In the recent AIMonLine with Liam Shaun played down this scenario
Ellers:
This is business as usual, Newmont have not got the business and decisions like this are everyday decisions of contract /business management.
It is going to take months IMO after the take over for Newmont to be taking decisions like this, the Newcrest management will still be in place, doing there day jobs.
Newmont making strategic decisions, like what they want and what they done of both companies projects. Then managing the disposals, a lot of work to do before they get to this level of decision about a bit of money every month, with no real effect on the business.
Oj17: You are right.
Thinking out loud.
It could be to redeploy the Havieron Exploration teams, good management, although I would have thought most operatives were contractors, and contracted to the JV, in which case a few GGP employees available for other duties with GGP.
Newcrest do have a large workforce and they will always be able to redeploy within the business.
But this said, I do not discount GGP having a hand in this, they my have been happy to hand it over due to the RIO deal.
I lot going on behind closed doors and SD & co know everybody of importance in WA and beyond.
Itsouthere you call dip a keyboard warrior, but I know he is more than that, the same cannot be said for yourself.
Many on here moan, complain, insult, but GGP is one share where you do have a direct line to the management. Instead of moans complaints insults come to the next town Hall meeting and ask your question, air your views.
If you cannot say something face to face then don't say it on here, you only lower yourself, unless that is not posible, think on that!
