You can trade in JISA's with HL for free, I think there are others that can trade for free but the values does not make much sense, but each to their own methods.

If you live in other areas where we have not yet had a meet, why not pull in a trip to one of the National Parks of Yorkshire and Derbyshire they are great in the spring.

Mike, I think you are right but any massive lift may well drop back quickly, having said that I think the longer term rise will continue, there will of course be pull backs.

Gold is back to being the basis with the Dollar looking out, this latest action with Iran means the USA will have to borrow more money which is more debt etc.

Many have also lost, and it could have been many of us, I do understand why some are bitter but we all make our own investment decisions and have to live with them.

On the ASX this week we dropped one position on market Cap, but have recovered that position by the end of the week.

There are several Gold companies around the same value, we are now it the position of leading these and need a very substantial change in the share price to get to the top 3 that includes Newmont with represents the Newcrest shares, Australians own (I think)

Well James, we have never found a venue that would suit in the London area.

It is every persons choice as to how far they want to travel, we have had people travel over 150 miles from London and M4 corridor to attend Sheffield meet on a Saturday, and further still to attend the meet last year in Scotland, these are not isolated instances, we also have others making international flights to attend and these have attended more than one.

I think that this also answers the disrupters and the likes of Xenon the investor in POLX about the relevance of meets (Who had the great Xmas present of having the share de listed) he perhaps should have attended meets some time ago.

I for one try something and if I don't like I leave it alone, these meets are attended by a mix of regulars and new attendees, the meets are full with wait lists which is why you do not see details of upcoming one on here.

If they were irrelevant then this would not be the situation, but I am sure there will be a time when there will not be as relevant as in this period of the companies expansion. (I would point out that meets are not investment advice)

Better still, come to a meet, I try to get to all as there is always a little gem of information and a great conversation, Bamps has always something new.

BlueToff, as Bamps says find a venue but we also need people registered in the area to test that I meet there will be successful, I would point out people from North Wales travel to other meets, Sheffield in April will be on a Saturday.

Great post Mrblue, and how is anyone to know what the questioner knows, as most meets have waiting list for seat it has to be inferred that most receive from the meets information that is useful to them in making decisions regarding there investment in ggp. We all have a choice, but the only way to know if it is for you is to register get an invite and attend, the. You can make your own mind up. GLA
