RE: Northern star vs greatland gold7 May 2025 11:07
Two statement to quote Shaun Day
The 30% of Havieron with control is better than what Northern Star Resources Ltd (NSRL) started with.
Not verbatim ‘I’m a dividend type of Guy’
With these two statements lets look back in history and compare.
We now start with a MASSIVE empowerment in both
A producing mine (Telfer)
A massive development mine (Havieron)
The third largest processing plant in Australia
A number of open pit opportunities that came with the Telfer, which we are actively progressing.
Looking at this it is far more than NSRL acquired with there first few acquisitions maybe all their acquisitions in at least the first 5 years.
In the first few years NSRL did not produce over 100,000 oz of gold, we are already outstripping their production by a factor of 3:1, and it does not look like in most of the first 8 years GGP will drop below the gold produced by NSRL which was 600,000 oz in year 8, we will over produce in comparison.
Now dividends NSRL declared a dividend of just over 2% in their third year of operating as a miner, if and I say if we do similar we will start dividends in the FY ending June 27, the pension funds need dividends to pay out benefits, so we will have to watch this space.
At the same time their share price had gone from 4cents to 85cents a factor of 21, at the beginning of our first year (July 2024 for this purpose) our share price was approximately 7.5p again and a very big if Shaun can match this (and many think he would like to) our share price would be an astounding 157p consolidated £31.50.
Nothing in this says that is what GGP will achieve, but I think it does help explain that the opportunities are there to repeat the success of NSR, and we have an A++ Board of Directors, top of the class management team to help achieve.
As always happy to have my statement queried as I make more mistakes than most.
