I see the requests for meets further south etc, so I share this with you., but could be anywhere
The reason I started the meets in the 'Midland' was as I fancied going to one, I had been to a town hall meeting, there were none near me, so I decided to give it a try. I was so unsure that I did not even till my wife, when the first meet was a success I told her where I had been.
I have now arranged 4 meets there is a lot of pent up demand (I am not sure it would have worked with any other share, penny or other) GGP seems to be unique.
First at Derby in a set area of the bar, the second was double the size in a private room, this is now a bit small, but do not discount holding more there maybe restrict the radius so more of a chat..
The Tamworth Meet came about as I had a request for an evening meet in that area, (the person requesting never asked to come, but that life) , we were at maximum so all was good.
The Sheffield meet was due to a request from Bellers, he found a great location, and we were well looked after and 75 in the room with none of the sniping as on here, we did not need a green box, how pleasant.
A lot of people on Saturday do not post just read.
I would suggest if you want a meet some suggestions
Post proposing area or venue on GGPchat, ggpchat.co.uk, I have started a thread it may prompt others. and provide a clue to where they will be successful. I use GGPchat as the information is easy to find, LSE and Telegram are frustrating as you cannot pin a notice and a day later no-one will read it as it will have gone off the first two pages.
Start locally and it is easy to get a few shareholders together.
Between you find a location (all our venues have been free to use)
If you fancy having a meet near you, the message is simple, I am happy to put together a list of contacts, I need just your location, and county other info such as want to attend and area and happy if happy to coordinate, what ever you want to say/contribute.
I will distribute it to others to get this going.
The message is go for it, ggpmidsmeets@gmail.com.
