The pipeline has been shut down by Algeria over their dispute with Morocco over Polisaro and Western Sahara, hence no Algerian gas is being exported through Morocco to Spain. What`s most interesting about that yellow line is that it appears to go right through Guercif Basin. Should Predator`s asset turn out to be the mega-discovery we are hoping for, that pipeline is ideally situated for a major G2EU export project. With infrastructure on the doorstep, such a project is going to be hugely attractive to a major wanting in.

I live not far from Guercif. I must say there`s an awful lot of new spending going on on infrastructure. Also upping the spending on military. This is primarily a slow agriculture- and tourist- based economy with low GDP. Bottled gas is the order of the day. So where`s all this new money coming from? It`s as if they are expecting a national windfall.
