Seems a no brainer in fact - credible growth case when you look at the macro and company specific factors and arguably limited downside at this level. Very different from momentum investing in something like Tesla.

It seems to me that whatever happens with Sealion at the end of the day, the current oil price should shortly deliver another speculative wave here, similar to the one that we saw in January and likely peaking somewhat higher.

To think that WTI is cracking on past $59 and TRIN is 11p to buy. I guess it’s this idea that they might let production drift a little to preserve capital for other adventures, but they are arguably being punished a little harshly for flagging this up. Previously drilling new wells would have given them SPT credits but now that the SPT threshold has been raised their more conservative strategy is entirely reasonable.

Do you not now see that posters like Starchild have consistently been indulging in wishful thinking, telling people only what they want to hear rather than doing any kind of genuine analysis? Just look at Starchild’s posting history. Where are the hard questions about funding, about the P1 CoS or about the ex-CERP assets?

And how can you call the current share price an overreaction? The 0.2p Proselenes talked about would have been an overreaction, but on all the available information the market’s current valuation of BPC seems rational and, if anything, generous.

Is it not way past time to look at this one more objectively and try harder to understand the market’s take on it? On the one hand you have a poster like Proselenes who wouldn’t even buy at 0.2p, which doesn’t make a lot of sense, but you’re not making a lot of sense either.

0.2p? Sub-£10M MCAP? Just look at the existing production and what could be done with it at a relatively low cost and then run the numbers against current WTI, bearing in mind the massive accumulated losses and the recent SPT reforms. The 2,500bopd target was always a load of nonsense (this presumably originated from Leo Koot and was then swallowed whole by Simon Potter), but there has to be scope for a cost efficient production uplift even if they don’t have the firepower for another well at Bonasse right now.

If that doesn’t persuade you, would you change your mind if bigmj and others got rid of the current BoD?

The ex-CERP assets have been consistently overvalued on here but, even assuming that when the dust settles there is only a million or two left in the bank and no other funding immediately available on decent terms, you still would not buy at 0.2p? With WTI nearing $60 and SPT reform in place in T&T for the next couple of years at least? Really?

Consider the possibility that printing trillions is good news for the oil price - remember that the 1973 Oil Crisis was actually about dollar devaluation when it came down to it.
