That last post by napthmam1 is a very good illustration of how history repeats itself.

Most BBs have a “guru” like Starchild and these gurus usually adopt a relatively measured tone. Their acolytes are a different matter.

Back in the day the CERP LSE BB had onceatrader as its guru. When his arguments were challenged, even in a neutral, non-abusive way, his acolytes would very quickly get very nasty and very personal (as I know only too well).

Starchild - your challenge is to disown napthmam1 and condemn that post.

Agreed about using your own eyes. To the uninitiated the message certainly seems to be “breakout to the upside”.

I think it makes sense to look at companies like CRCL from every angle, but surely news will almost always trump TA here. In any event, can you really describe what the bot sites offer as TA?

These bot sites add little value at the best of times but with something news driven like CRCL I would question whether they add any value at all.

Spot on. There is really nothing more to be said in the meantime. This won’t stop Starchild etc., but posters who tell people what they want to hear will always find an audience. It’s a shame that their audience don’t back test Starchild etc.’s earlier posts against the subsequent RNSs, because funding is one of the many things that they have been consistently wrong about. Consistently.

In the meantime folk would be better of making hay while the sun is shining in the investable universe and ignoring the siren call of the likes of BPC and UKOG. That’s certainly my plan.

Just trying to sum up where I feel Starchild’s take on BPC is misleading. But there’s not much more to say this side of an RNS that clarifies BPC’s financial position. I always assume that there is less cash in the bank, and less friendly funding terms available, than most folk on here think. That has certainly proved a reasonable assumption in the past. Maybe this time it will be different. I am happy to wait for that clarificatory RNS and see who was right.

Any reason to think this is company specific or is it more about “risk on” being back on right now?

I’m certainly not looking on it as a potential investment these days (the finances remain far too opaque) but the local rampers post such nonsense that I simply cannot sit on my hands.

What shorters? Yet another tired BB cliche. If anyone is shorting this at all, they won’t be shorting it in size.

Do you honestly think Starchild et al. have done better than the sceptics here? I don’t think so.

Who on here sceptical about everything? Just the other day I listed 5 O&G plays that I have significant investments in:
