Fyzabad was an evaluation exercise that did not progress to waterflood. As I said, I am not aware of a successful precedent in Trinidad for either waterflood or CO2 injection and am therefore asking you to consider the possibility that the BB’s faith in these techniques (and much else) may be misplaced. You are free to counter with me tales of EOR triumphs. Still waiting.

That’s interesting. Where is the waterflooding and CO2 injection? Sounds like LK may be taking a bit of a punt at Gourdron and Predator a bit of a punt at TI.

There are no guarantees, though I suspect that there will be a huge number of shares in issue by that point. Consider where the growth is going to come from and how it is going to be financed and you will realise that VSA should be tarred, feathered and run out of town. I have provided pretty good evidence of the cash burn trajectory that CERP is on, just for a start. You may believe that “something will turn up”, but the trend is my friend, not yours. We will know pretty soon now just how little is left in the bank. I would be amazed if it was over $3million and, indeed, it could easily be nearer $2million than $3million, which really doesn’t take you very far in the SWP at all. As for waterflood and CO2 injection, my comment about it working on paper and on YouTube but not in Trinidad is not meant to be flippant - EOR success stories in Trinidad are quite hard to find if you are looking for them - have you tried?

Really? Oilers up across the board on POO recovering from recent lows. But have you anything CERP-specific to offer? I think you may be waiting for the Great Leap Forward for a while yet, particularly if LK is going to pass on the LIND Facility, which must expire, what, early next week?

Sounds like LK has not been reading the literature. Or is CO2 injection perhaps something like waterflood in that it seems to work better on paper than in Trinidad?

Also, Goudron’s APIs are not that much higher than TI’s (particularly if you look at average APIs). My notes say that TI ranges from 28 to 38-degree API. Is that not correct?

On here it’s maybe not so much what you are saying as who’s saying it, a blinkered approach which can lose you money. This is the point that I was really making.

CO2 injection is a big issue because a lot has been made of Predator’s TI option, the exercise of which may well depend on the success or otherwise of their CO2 injection programme. So in my earlier post I offered a view on CO2 in Trinidad:

The turning point will come when we see how the initial foray into the SWP is going to be funded. Looks like it will have to be a placing as LK seems determined to let the LIND Facility expire. 2.5p could be the bottom, though I reckon it would bottom out where it is now if only LK changed his mind about the LIND Facility. When it does eventually turn north it will be news and sentiment that do it. The rampers on here have got it wrong so often that they are a spent force - they don’t even have it in them to debate the pros and cons of CO2!

Is it all garbage though? I get it that the nasty/personal stuff adds no value and is best filtered, but it’s not all like that - some of it is actually about CERP!
