This is what makes me a little wary of TXP. I am pretty clear that current production is around 2000bopd, so if you and others are expecting around 2300bopd, I see scope for sentiment to take a bit of a knock.

Just higher initial production from the 2018 wells that were brought on line not long before that particular update, IMO. Could simply be how the timing happened to pan out rather than any manipulation, but the figures in the later update, even allowing for the problems revealed in that update, made it clear that that 2300bopd+ was a bit of an outlier.

Hard to know what happened. Maybe it was just a sense that the drift had gone too far. The UOG news was certainly positive but our holding there is not that significant.

Not a holder here at the moment, though it is on my watchlist. TRIN fits better with my risk profile, though if I was looking for something more speculative to hold alongside TRIN I would certainly choose TXP over CERP any day.

I suspect that 2300bopd+ earlier in the year was a bit of an artificial spike, which is why I believe that even with everything back on line current production won’t be more than 2000bopd, if that. In the short term I think a spud RNS will undoubtedly be positive for the share price while a production RNS could be neutral or even negative. PB needs to get the spud RNS out first so that the production RNS gets buried in Ortoire excitement, IMO.

I assume that they are back up and running but I suspect that they are struggling to keep production above 2000bopd.

I think this fall could be about disappointing production as much as a delayed spud. We’ll know more in a couple of weeks.

I hardly ever post on here at all, just dropped in since I was in the neighbourhood trolling a couple of other shares. It’s not too late to sell!

Not impossible if the big one can be funded without too much dilution, comes in big style and the funding of subsequent field development can also be done without too much dilution. PB does seem to have a good relationship with TXP’s current lenders.

Not sure that spud and the excitement that will go with it is in the price. On the other hand, I suspect that getting current production back over 2000bopd has been a struggle and that they may not be there yet even now - not sure that the reality of that is in the price. The trick will be to get the spud RNS out before the next production update, IMO.
