I think an old school farm out agreement will be done where we receive cash to cover 3d and drill costs but we will be expected to put that money straight up to fund our own appraisal wells. No free rides but very much derisked and value for money for the partner.

If proven I think that’s where brimacombe and his financing connections come in to finance say 30-40% of future capex to first oi, while a major takes the rest. The size of capex to first oil for 30-40% should be very manageable. Just guesswork but I imagine those kind of packages are brimacombes bread and butter when developing gold mines..

Then I think Harry and brimacombe etc are positioning themselves to take us private once all is proven proven…

A strong case to sell and at best get back in at 2p? 😂 bid would have to be as low as 1.70, highly unlikely.

It’s ofcourse it’s up to each individual to make their assumptions and that’s what makes a market,but I would take the CEOs word as an unofficial nod of something is being worked on.

I don’t think it would be wise to officially announce that they are in advanced stages for it to possibly fall through. Harry being asked a question in an interview he is obliged to answer it as accurately as possible but without impacting the share price and potentially misleading investors if the deal was to fall through.

“We think” is still left to you to make your own interpretation

I use IG markers, it’s a live price, big was 170 ask 175. However I posted that before I had checked the oil price had retreated a little since Friday so that’s why they crucified us on open!

These three initiatives have put us in a much stronger position. We are already seeing the benefits with renewed interest from multiple parties in the data room. It is worth pointing out that Darwin is an appraisal project. Hundreds of millions of dollars have already been spent in the high risk exploration phase. Whilst the appraisal and development phases require significant capital, the exploration risk has been much reduced and will be eliminated once we have tested a well as part of the appraisal program. We know we have a world class project which is attracting interest from tier one industry potential partners. We are really excited by Darwin and the prospects nearby as well as the size and scale of the remainder of the portfolio which can be seen in detail in our latest presentation on the website. We look forward to reporting progress to the market in due course.

I agree rkh is top heavy to me for the short term (12-18 months) can’t see it going over £400m mcap even with FID, but bor has huge headroom IF we land a deal. Even if we gave up 80% we will still be 3x of todays sp.
