I’m seeing a few articles now saying covid isn’t haven’t the effect they thought it would on the uk and that a 3rd of deaths were people who were in bad health and probably would have died in 6 months anyway. Brutal way of looking at it and still possibly early days but I just don’t see this being the apocalypse everyone has made it out to be. I’m sorry but 480 people in the space of a month is absolutely minuscule and I don’t beleive all this “we are two weeks behind Italy” palarva. The Chinese were travelling worldwide at Chinese New Year, they locked down wuhan but let the virus travel, all country’s will have been hit at similar times. This week will be the tipping point imo,if it blows up I’ll eat my words but don’t be surprised to see all restrictions lifted within a few weeks and back To buisness.

Demand isn’t there no, but the willingness to negotiate would still put oil back to mid 30’s imo which throws a lot of heavily debted company’s a lifeline.
US will be back to work soon consuming every bit of that cheap oil to kick start their economy. I’m not saying oil is going insane anytime soon all I’m saying is it is in the interest of opec to lift prices.

Obviously low prices stimulate economy’s but your saying “ it is not in any OPEC’s Members interest to lift prices” Do you really think Saudi are thinking this is great we are selling oil at a third of the price we were last month, our main revenue is getting battered but at least it will stimulate growth!
