Finally some actual good news, very positive and long may it continue.

Well the share price has moved in the right direction so I won’t complain, let’s just hope that’s EIG done.

Secondly, we are all expecting good results but has everyone forgotten £200M of that money we would have used to pay down debt has now been used to buy back shares which we are not benefiting from?
So I’m worried that after £600m q1 reduction we may only see around £400M this time and the market won’t like it. Obviously we have less shares in circulation but do we really think the market is going to care about that? Ets just hope the price increase we have seen in q2 is enough to offset that and keep the market happy

Of course they want the best share price but why do you think we have dropped from £5.25 to £3? It wasn’t all because of the WT, it was EIG offloading 16% of the company! And now that we are getting hit with a WIndfall tax they are actually starting to realise these prices are unsustainable without a recession and they obviously want to continue dumping more shares before that happens, so what do they do? Announce a buy back with our money which looks like it’s for the shareholders benefit when in reality it is just propping the share price up as they sell into it…

If it wasn’t for EIG I don’t think we would have dropped below £4.20 which was the initial hit we took when the market digested what our Windfall tax liability would be.

What do analysis ratings count for at the best time? Never mind in this current environment or when the main shareholder is looking for the exit…

Strike, they have no intention of rebuying those shares, this was an offload that was a way around spooking the market. Those shares are no free to be sold back into the market again but what do EIG care? They have reduced massively and continue to do so while we prop the share price up.

Just like I said with the WT months before it was even mentioned, it wasn’t if,it was only when it got introduced, there will be absolutely no reduction in tax I can gaurenteed you that.

Has the WT already been passed or still in the process?

NSS the fact that us holders are saying things like

“At some stage the dodgy dealing will hopefully stop and we will have basically a new shareholder base.”

It’s no wonder no one is seeing us as investable, shocking really.

Also why would we invest in renewables if it’s not included in the tax relief for the WT? Where’s the incentive?

I’ve sent some more emails to HBR today to confirm EIG are no longer offloading and not doing as they did 6 months ago by saying they are “fully committed to the industry and aligned with shareholders” to go forth and offload half of their stake.
I won’t hold my breath for any confirmation but I also wanted to hear from them about the recent dealings and how they decimated our share price to then open the door for more selling from the new holders. It all stinks, they use our money to prop up the share price while they exit.

I hope you guys are right, If I get my £5.50 out of this I’ll be happy, I was 20p off my target a few months ago and waited because I was adamant this was heading to £6+ So thought my limit sells were nailed on. Kicking myself now.

Valyew I’ve said for a long time now the financial system is broken and this inflation is a runaway train.
The markets are starting to realise there is a crash coming like nothing we have seen before. Currency’s diluted out of existence, money really is now worthless. People talk of fundamentals on here which I agree with, you would think this is a one in a lifetime opportunity but it isn’t. The big investors seem to know exactly what’s coming and are cashing in before it goes pop.
China are having a run on the banks to stop people withdrawing money this week and it will happen all across the world soon.
“Build back better” they say, but apparently I’m just a conspiracy theorist.
