I really think the markets have derailed myself, no logic whatsoever. We are heading for the biggest recession in history and the ftse rallied 2.6%! Lol
Short is £2k in the red currently, but we will sit tight and add on any more rises.

Guys The ftse was up 2.6% ffs. Oil up to $99 and gas £2.80 and HBR managed a 1.4% rise. If you think the shorters are worried you are delusional.
Everyones running around with each other’s dicks in their hands copy and pasting Ramps with *ditto at the end just wreaks of desperation.

HBR is the most undervalued share on the FTSE but it’s WT exposure is obviously making it a target for shorts,there’s no other explanation, when demand falls of a cliff do you really think these clowns running this circus will lift the WT quickly? Did they help anyone during lockdowns when prices went negative?
These politicians are deliberately making the uk uninvestable.
Unless We diversify abroad this isn’t going anywhere imo.
On the plus side I think BOD are already on the hunt and it won’t be long with cash we are generating.

With oil up,gas strong, and the ftse flying, this is barely blue. I’m in no rush to buy back in, the markets are broken and the shorters are in charge here no matter how much buy backs take place.
I actually think they will be more cautious with buy backs this time and they might only get used at lower levels

But why are we needing to buy our own shares at 20p pmo money?£1.5B less debt and commodity prices treble/quadruple what they were? We are we being shorted? Why does nobody else want to buy here? This should be £8 a share ffs.

Just looked to see BP had a good day today, tlw,enq both up 3.5% aswell which makes hbr rise even more underwhelming.

It may pop up to mid 50’s but as this short is only £300pp I’ll let it run. I think long term when I see more weakness I will increase a short here looking for around the £1 mark.

Recession q2 next year? We are in one now. Just because they fudge figures like everything else doesn’t mean we are not in one. Remember BOE said inflation wasn’t a problem to keep everyone spending. People think they are just clowns, they are, but your clowns for beleiving they are that stupid to not understand how this stuff works. They know exactly what they are doing.
This is a demolition of capatlism.

Probably pearls. It’s nothing against HBR, it’s my biggest holding and by far the most undervalued share I’ve ever seen (apart from when I was in rockrose at £4). But these shorters are holding this share price back, the market knows what cash we are churning out but yet it just values refuses to acknowledge it. I really can’t get my head around it.

I sold out just before close. HBR chronically undervalued as ever but if this rise is down to buy backs on a day with results like those I’m not sure what chance we stand on the run up to the mini budget, I can gaurentee you sunak will up WTand yet again sabotage investment.
Either way 5% today wasn’t convincing for me, if these shorts start closing I will jump back in but something tells me I’ll buy back in Cheaper next week.

Opened a short again just now. I still see more downside than upside at these levels I’m afraid. Could be wrong. Good luck all, hope everyone’s well.

Hell of an update but it’s not doing anything for the markets. As suspected they wanted debt down, they know these prices can’t last, they can’t even last until mid 2023 with the amount of defaults and bankruptcy's already taking place.

Simonlevert, I agree I just think we all(and the market) expected debt pay down to be more than that given q1 and q2, obviously expected capex second half but thought we would have chinked some more off the debt.
Certainly very strong results other than that so I’m not disappointed but it’s all how the market sees it.
