I hold HBR and although I don’t hold what I once did I hold a decent amount, I’ve always been clear about when I’m in or out and people have seen me called it right and wrong numerous times. Most of the time I’ve been right but it hasn’t benefited me.

A lot of you lot on here don’t like what I say because you can’t debate with facts and you want me to be wrong because the truth is you know you’ve been conned.

My thoughts aswell mike, seems very risky to continue upping their short with such a dividend yield, and a yield that is about to increase dramatically.
Unless ofcourse they have insider knowledge that the dividend might be suspended due to weak prices.

The thing here is, although high risk due to our corrupt government, buying at current levels gives you around a 7.5% yeild and that’s before buy backs, it will soon be at 10%. If you can buy now and sit and wait for an acquisition away from the N sea this will be back to mid £3-£4 so huge rise while reaping 10% divi atleast. Throw in a reduction in EPL or a base and this has a lot of upside.
With no EPL reduction this could still go lower, but at these levels the risk reward adds up for me.

On any positive news I will be throwing the kitchen sink at this.

Suppose buybacks make the divi that little bit bigger and still puts more expense on the shorters that way.
They yeild is looking very good at these levels

At current levels we can’t afford to be spending money on buy backs and divi, we need one or the other.
I would rather see a divi so it hurts the shorters but I would happily see the buy backs postponed to focus on debt reduction.

Please don’t think this is shortsighted of the government, I have said many times they know exactly what they are doing hence why they are in no rush to do anything with the EPL. You can’t seriously think sunak and **** are that thick they didn’t realise this would cripple investment and out energy sector. It’s a reset and they want you to own **** all and the government provide you with everything.
