Agree with Retour that the current re positioning is a build up to something that could see this share price jump through a buy out that will be more clearer in the next week or two.
Don't get impatient and just sit and hold...worst case is that if it doesn't get taken over this share is incredibly cheap!

The question of selling the bank for me personally when asked on the conference call stank of we are aware...and we aint going to have a lot of say in it and odds on it will happen, JMO

Look the bottom line is that its still got a healthy cash intake and growing without a bad name thus customers still depositing their money it so I am pretty sure that our American friends especially with the UK getting through Brexit soon will see this as a cheap deal for them.

you cant measure like for like growth as the customer isn't a single purchase and is to transient so the branch is purely a portal for facilitating the account, same as SKY wouldn't give you LFL on where boxes were installed by territory but purely the UK as a whole.

One thing certain posters go on about is the bank is opening branches and this is a dated model, most banks I have been into are always busy with footfall and the big 4 aren't closing all their banks BUT reducing them!!
There is still a market and customer for visiting branches and Metro have perfected the look and feel in this spot and locations where people want them.
Personally whilst not opening on mass across the UK done correctly this will be a big hit for this business.
