Buy even if only for short term recovery.
Does anyone have any other news other than recent broker upgrade to explain good increase today? Tempting to sell.
NIce increase so far and after a decent divi.
This may indeed happen as in France you need to carry a spare bulb set by law. So it makes no sense if you cannot change the light bulbs yourself.
Lots of buys over last few days, Gold back over $1,400 per ounce and unrest in the Middle East, oh and inflationary pressures in the UK. I did state a view recently that gold was overpriced and I still think longer term it is, however short term gold price should help drive HMB back up to over 8p mark in next few weeks. All IMO.Needs to break and hold above 8.5p mark.
Which it certainly wasn't as it was my buy. Re-trace over last few days probably over done though still above 7p, and worth diving back in again IMO.
Wish all re-traces could be this way.... Although I would agree SP has gone up a lot and rather rapidly and there must be some who are tempted to take profits. Unsure myself, though would not want to miss the upwards sailing boat. Personaly I do not have that much faith in the brokers as they get it wrong as much as right.
nicoleyim you looked a bit lonely here....Decent company, very low debt, very good divi due, Sainsbury contract win (as mentioned below). Good low historical entry point. Retailers a bit iffy at the moment, however the low entry price for me makes it still a worthwhile punt at 88p. GLA.
Not too bad an entry price. I have recently sold as I thought it had reached a temporary ceiling of around the 7p mark. However if it continues to go through that mark then it may set that as the new floor. Good company with good prospects, although rubbish regards RNS's and IMO previously bad managment. Hopefully the new bod in charge will be much better. People have been burnt before (including friends of mine) with this share as it has consistently underperformed. Maybe the corner has been turned. Staying above 7p-8p will convince me and I may need to buy back in. One potential fly in the ointment IMO is that Gold maybe overpriced and due a correction GL.
That's enough for me (288.8p), nice little return and will perhaps wait for the re-trace if there is any. GL to those left in.
Good for a short term recovery over a day or so for a few % gain? IMO.
Bit like Chinese Water Torture. My money is just dripping away. Guess I don't need any Smart Meter readers to tell me where this is going. Oh well, hopefully if I leave it for another 40 years I might break even.....
Last week I set an auto sell at 555P which executed and then SP keep going up. I had thought it would hit it's short term ceiling of between 560p - 570p (hence my auto sell). Now it looks like this short term ceiling has been re-enforced. I appreciate the market is down today and CKSN often follows the general market trend, but with larger lows and highs, even so I feel that the SP could re-test the 525p mark as it appears to have entered a mini downward trend, with lower lows and lower highs. Anyone else got any views??
Does this make HMB a strong buy?? 17 November 2010 Hambledon Mining PLC ("Hambledon" or the "Company") Hambledon was informed on 17 November 2010 by Somercourt Investments Limited (Somercourt”) that, following a purchase of 20,000,000 ordinary shares on 10 November 2010 and a further purchase of 5,000,000 ordinary shares on 16 November 2010, Somercourt are now interested in a total of 25,000,000 ordinary shares in the Company which represents 4.84% of the total issued share capital of the Company.
Sounds like a drink, still it is Friday.
Large Pension deficits often hinder take overs. However company has strong prosects and maybe a takeover is not the best long term answer. Of course if the SP keeps shotting up then the £140m deficit will look less of a problem when compared to Market Cap. Either way looking to keep this in my ISA for a good while yet. One of my few long term plays. GLA.
£88 Million extra loss and SP drop = £260 million and counting. Worth buying in soon today or tomorrow for a possible rebound??
Great increase and good long term company. However 25% increase over such a short term is too much of a temptation for me, plus exceeded my target price of 50p and have sold. (plus divi payout as well) May buy back in if it re-traces a bit. Moved funds into AU. What a drop....Hopefully not about to catch the "falling knife". GL all left in HVN.
Good buying pressure today
Yes I can see the potential, however I suspect that a number of longer term holders here have suffered too much in the past from what can only be described as "Mis-Managment". Hopefully things will now improve.
