Hi Dive Centre, I've seen mention of the EnQuest Producer FPSO as a candidate. Is that a better fit for the criteria you referenced?
Runs to over 30 pages this time. Appears to be a more detailed version of the one issued earlier this week. Valuations remain the same - Core NAV 408 Total Risked NAV 702 Total Unrisked NAV 950
There's an article in today's Sunday Times - "Keir Starmer in retreat from North Sea oil pledge". Apparently Equinor have been "given the nod" on Rosebank and Keir has spoken to a number of companies ahead of the launch of his party’s 2030 clean power mission in Edinburgh tomorrow.
Apparently Keir Starmer's "Green Mission" speeech is planned for next week. Presumably this is the one previously referenced to as taking place in Aberdeen? Does anyone have any more precise details on date etc?
Abatt1 - The calculation is based upon the average price of Brent Crude in a quarter. Needs to be below $71.41 in two consecutive quarters for floor to apply. Historically it was below this level through 2019 (briefly went above in 2019 but probably not enough to distort quarterly average) to first half of 2021. However Office for Budget Responsibility do not think the floor will be triggered through till current end date of Windfall tax in 2028. As per Jim333's comment it will act as a "safety" measure for oil companies should prices fall significantly and assist as a reassurance in financing.
WH Ireland have issued an update, maintaining 684p fair value and forecasting positive momentum in the sector for 2H 2023.
Agreed. I find it baffling.
Abatt1, the May RNS states: "It is anticipated that the farm-out will be completed around the end of the second quarter of 2023". This is not the same as "concluded by the end of Q2", as could therefore be at the beginning of Q3. However, a valid point was made earlier that it could be concluded for the AGM, which would be good. As to the remainder of the farm out I didn't get any clear idea from the RNS.
MPO818, yes, all sounds very positive. Agree with you re JS. Apparently there is also a JM Finn "Morning Note" released. Anyone know what's in that?
AB is presenting twice at the Mello Investment Forum tomorrow and according to a previous RNS the accounts would be announced in the 2nd half of this month. Seems reasonable to assume that if AB is going to say anything of interest tomorrow then Wednesday is a likely day for a RNS.
DYOR etc
The majority of the trades shown as Sells this week are actually Buys. I did a small top up yesterday @ 233p which was shown as a Sell and the same pattern seems to be followed this morning. Thus the current spread is actually 230p - 233p. Looks as though several existing investors are making small top ups prior to tomorrows event. Hopefully we'll have a positive RNS tomorrow and AB can encourage some new investors.
JS swore at posters who hoped that now that he was selling out would be leaving the board. I’d guess that he was reported as the post was removed …….
Someone has reported this mornings post and it has been removed. Probably due to a certain person’s comments who will now have been banned for 24hrs.
By posting on this board JS has kindly kept MM’s informed that he has nearly finished dumping so hopefully price should start to recover now.
...... and probably a significant contributor to the last few days performance.
Need to remember Parliament still on Easter recess so unlikely to have heard much on an EFL floor in the last 2 weeks. The current price fall is very disappointing and I find it hard to understand. Hoping for an improvement soon.
Search for "Jersey Oil and Gas" on the IC website!
I've been in since the first half of 2019.
everhopeful - I think you're being too "everhopeful". Where did you get "end of April at the latest from"? The 31 March RNS does not state anything about certainty of a deal at the end of April at the latest; it merely states "An exclusivity period until 30th April 2023 has been agreed". Also read jim333's post of 3rd April following his conversation with AB. It contains hope of a deal in April, but this could easily slip into May. Patience.
Pointscorer - possibly taking a late lunch?
