Mid month is Monday... so would be pretty awesome if the CPR was ready. But then being a report writer myself I know these things quite often over run.

Light oil dicovery 1.5 bn to 1.9 bn waiting independent varification. 1.2 to 1.6 bn within leasehold. Extends Shannon to cole creek... massive

Art confident in the discovery as did loads of varification work.

Powder river basin forgotten about for a long time. Could something else have been missed?.

Existing infrustructure worth millions. Owns pipeco

85% operatives of the field - full control

Discovery well already flowing 100 to 120 brls a day

Looking to drill more wells August

Eventual target 5000 brls oil per day production 500,000 dollars provided oil price stays up

Funded for months with 13 million dollar placing

All the above information in public domain. Just some of my research notes and some of the reasons why I hold long.

Some moan about debt and don't want placings which is understandable if you want quick gains.
But without loans or placings - how can you grow a company??.... no such thing as a magic money tree that is for sure.

Its really tough for company bosses to optimise fund raising foe shareholders... even with taking fund raising advice. I wonder how many poeople could do better than Art if they were given his job and told to add value?

Interest for the loan is high because the lender has to put their neck on the line and its only right they should be compensated for that. Remember that the current lender lent the money when oil price was low and was not clear at the time if prices would recover. By doing so an opportuntiy was given to COPL that could not have existed otherwise.

Art has stated that the bank is interested in refinancing. And that makes sense with better cash flow and sounds positive.

The placing has added to COPLs balance sheet and bought more earning potential for the future and should put COPL in a stronger position.

Some have benefited from the placing by taking short term gain yes, but the real rewards with most shares is by holding over the long term and I am hopeful it should add value for shareholders because there is over a billion barrels of oil underground. And should have some more clariry on that soon.

The key thing is revenue which reduces the reliance on external fund raising and this is up this year. If it keeps growing things will be just fine. The cash is the company is being thrown at productiom and efficiency.

Hi Antha, so you state 'no forward path' without JV. I think a JV is what is most likely. At some point.

Copl is revenue generaring right? And the placing was massive because of a one off acquisition.

Do you not see Copl making a profit in the future and being seld sufficient?

I can only focus on the wider picture. The SP is well below placing price and getting closer to pre epic oil dicovery sp which is balmy.

The Cuda Acquisition is producing revenue to add to the cash pot and selling price of oil remains above 100 bucks.

There are currently no cash flow issues and refincing talks are continuing.

The RNS is not good or bad. For me it just brings focus to the AGM which hopefully should be quite positive.good to know results are pretty much on time.

The inflation being high will be eroding the value of the loan aswell dont forget so that is of some benefit. Any higher refinancing costs can be offset by rising oil which is part responsible for the inflation anyway.

Copl Hodler you are wrong... it is 50 mazillion gazillion 'percentage points' or 'percent' not pencentages. Just... no.

Also is at least 100 mazillion gazillion because there are frillion of brrls of oil.

I am just reading some of the Scott Ryder report. Data based on 1st October 2020.

Future 'Net' Revenue at that time was estimated at 640 million after Royalties, operation and development costs. In October 2020 before oil price increases and before discovery.

Just imagine what future 'net' revenue could be now.

Shame i cant buy more shares.

I feel like the board has become a bit more balanced in terms of posting and there has been alot more informative or thought-provoking posts lately. Which I appreciate.

Gold and Copl Hodler have given me new lines of thought and helped me to consider risks a bit more and get grounding on where we are currently at.

I really hope that (a) the report makes good reading and (b) that a move from poor to better sentiment leads to the SP going up substantially.

I also hope that we can clear the air on some of the big questions that should be asked over how the company is being managed and some of teething problem from production.

Just need more group confidence on future profitability and value add. More Trust.

The future sales from COPL are huge potentially.

At the AGM can you please ask how the Nigeria play is going? I quite literally hear nothing about it?

Also dows it make sense to dispose of it whilst oil price is high to focus all resources on getting the wyoming oil out of the ground?

The fossil fuels sector is the up today. So I know its frustrating to see COPL down.

Hopefully the report that comes out will show good news.

Will Putin use tomorrow to repakage the war in Ukraine? He could escalate by declaring war officially or de-escalate by somehow proclaiming victory.

Tomorrow could be very crucial for where oil price goes from here.

If Putin comes out with the high-level fear-mongering rhetoric, it could push oil up further. Any escalation could do so.

Will be interesting to see. Big day for oil.

I actually agree with Gold that the Atomic deal only looks good in retrospect, because ART has got lucky wirh oil discovery and lucky with the insane upward pressure on oil.

China demand is falling for oil but overall just so much pressure from the war.

Well thank goodness for oil discovery then !
