When is trading update?

I was always under the impression that sunny weather helps to drive summer range sells enourmously. Well I have learned something. So what they are saying is...that a balanced summer with rain and sun is what you want to drive optimum sells.

I am not 100% convinced.

I think a bit of positivity is coming back to the board. Oil price is up a bit, there are billions of dollars of confirmed oil below; refinancing is still on the cards and maybe one day a big oil major will buy it all and take it on.

It was good to see some buyers in for it today. Even if it was closing shorts. Feels positive.

DonBroco ASOS was down 10% which is a very samey company. So less down compared to them.

That double didgit inflation news rocked low margin retail yesterday.

Also Boohoo still have an MCAP which is in hundreds of millions so. A few million from REVB onto balance sheet would not have sent it massivley up. But Boohoo could make a good profit from this long term.

Unemployment not employment. Need to remember to read things twice before hitting post button.

Inflation could have peaked and there is also the argument that commodity prices and energy may already have attrated alot of interest and may not be such great value long term.

Poeple I have spoken to mainly remind me that employment is low and savings are still quite high. So a recession not likely to be deep.

So I would argue... weoght the portfolio towards cheap shares impacted by inflation whilst cheap and wait as long as it takes.

My view only and I could be very wrong. Obviously.

Revb is a good buy. The SP was low due to Jupiter selling hard and driving down price. There are some accounting issues at REVB that have been identified, but they are not expected to impact cash and its ability to ride out inflation.

Revb was a half billion quid biz just 1 year ago and in my assessment undervalued.

They were in a close period - they could not buy in dirt dirt cheap.

THG making a bid?

I have spoken to many DFMs in the city. They have sighted strong jobs data and pointed out that household savings are still quite high coming out of covid. Some think inflation as a whole has peaked. Although energy inflation will continue to rise.

Also some views about interest rate hikes being good to cool ot off a bit and means central banks can react to other nasties in the future without having to rely on fiscal policy.

This company still has extraordinary potential. youngers i think will spend on value beauty products. Most poeple expect a massive recovery next year.

Obviously all opinions but interesting none the less.

'Upto' 40p is the same valuation for SP I have calculated for september. This is however completely dependant on the size of the write down on the company's balance sheet which will happen.

Given how many millions have been wiped from MCAP. It would have to be one hell of a write down to sink SP further. Certainly high risk buying these shares.

I got in at 28p and well underwater. Hopefully will bounce back september. Sometimes the inexpected really takes you by surprise.

This is surely now a sitting duck for some sort of take over.

Obviously. I think media is currently over reacting to whole inflation piece and making the future out to be alot worse then it actually will be. My opinion.

Im prepared to hold through to 10p if that happens. Happy to wait as long as it takes for it to multibag. I believe long term this will recover.

Its so unreal. :-0.

I will buy as many of these cheap shares as poss.
