Price of the rig is irrelevant

1 it was cheaper to buy than hire

2 it was bought at a discount

3 it was bought outright without financing

Effectively it has saved the company money and is now an asset, so if there is any relevance, then it is of a positive nature.

I'm surprised people are liking that post HY. The thought if it being cancelled is not such good news for me no matter how slim the chance we had in the area.

The company were supposed to receive data from the 3D that could help with future decisions here.

Despite a deviated well, if, as I intimated in my OP, that target depth was reached at the end of last week, then despite the deviation, the target depth was reached within the schedule put to us in RNS last Monday.

Of course things can go wrong in this business, but the above being the case, there seems no need to be concerned that the wire line logging will take longer. For reasons stated earlier I believe it will come PDQ and catch a few out.

In my view the leak was over the weekend and hit the market on Monday, not yesterday. That can be verified by looking at the series of much larger buys on Monday before the rush yesterday.

That tells me TD was reached end of last week or latest at the weekend. Before the wireline logging can begin, they have had to withdraw the drill pipe and as stated it has already begun.

I don't know the time scale for that withdrawal, but at that depth I would suggest a minimum 24/48hrs?

So, just be aware, it is quite possible the results could come sooner than expected up to five days earlier maybe.

Quite simply there is no realistic opportunity at this level to do a raise. When an opportunity presents itself, it will be taken, our board have been clear and open about that when the price was 10.5 a fortnight ago.

From that point as CEO my approach would be tgat if there is big demand and price gets to around 20p. I would do an open offer discounted by a couple of pence, before or during the drill.

If my target opportunity does not arrive then I will await results. On success raising funds will be easy with queues at the door

On failure, I will hire out the drill to one of those currently in discussion and use the upfront payment to prepare my second exploration six months later.

My point is that I do not need to dilute my shareholders and either result, I can still progress the next move in the same time frame.

That my friends is taking advantage of good opportunities and right now we have an open and honest CEO in Lorna who will be seeking the right opportunity. I believe she will do the right thing at the right moment and I dont believe the fear mongers for one second who are pushing the idea of a raise at these levels.

It is so obvious they are shorting this for as long as they can and their time is rapidly coming to an end, hence their last gasp noise.

Excellent point Kevin there has been as much emphasis on raising for appraisal and next stage as there has for further exploration.

In the case of success, both holders and outsiders will be happy to throw money at it and as you say, with having our own rig raising for a further exploration could be done in a number of ways, for instance, hiring out the rig for six months could bring in enough to cover it without dilution.

One thing I can safely assume is that you're are a fearmonger playing your own book along with a few others who have been playing the same card for a fortnight. Let's turn that around...

Trying to say this is not a part of the testing process is clutching at straws.

There's oil in that hole and they testing its commercial viability.

PS, if they knew it were a duster, I doubt they would be testing, so my guess is they've found something worth the cost of testing

Todays RNS seems forced upon them to explain the rise away. There were some large buys yesterday so this testing could have been underway for a few days.

As above, the testing was always expected, so a few more days to wait on commerciality. Its still a good bet, with a bag or two and more to follow if it wins.

And all I read is negativity from the same crowd harping on about raising.
