Needy, 1. The 24 RNS doesn't not prevent a counterbid from any third party including BHP. 2. There is a huge gap between the JCC bid and the NAV per share referred to by the CEO - 165p. 3. The counterbid could come at any stage between now and the votes/Hearing in late February. 4. As and when a counter comes, that is likely to be countered itself. The S o A as it stands would be finished and the bidding could go on for months. 5. The NSS refers to copper as a strategic asset i.e. a little like Venezuela's oil ( and we know what is happening with that. 6. The West has an enormous copper supply shortfall not addressed by merely merging with other producers and needs to do something about that urgently (Robert Friendland) 7. Needy, the terms of the 24th RNS along with UK TP rules clearly permit a higher offer not just from any outside third party but also from parties such as BHP and Newmont. I have said that a counterbid can come but may not. I have said that the opening bid may win but may not. You repeatedly scotch the idea of a counterbid and won't countenance the chance of one notwithstanding the realities of our situation. Peddling doom and hopelessness. Needy, always keen to peddle hopelessness and project away from both contractual and TP obligations i.e. reality. Suggest you read 24 Dec RNS. Counterbid can come at any stage. The first bid may win. Or it may not. The process allows a counterbid at any stage from now all the way through to the votes and Hearing.

I'm not there Needy but I am excited that M Henry is meeting D Noboa. Every reason to be hopeful here. An auction process with weeks of time remaining. Excellent find by IP. Maybe the first bid will win. Maybe it won't!

Good work IP. BHP perfectly entitled to bid for Solgold as and when they wish to do so. Their current undertaking is not in the least an impediment to doing that subject to a couple or minor contractual obligations covered previously.

DF. I'd rather keep owning the asset rather than sell them forever at a fire sale price compared to NAV. The 7.2p was price, not value.JCC's 28p does not represent a 'final offer' for Solgold given where we are. FN and Osisko Gold Royalties structured their streaming agreements on the long-term value of the resources, not short-term share price volatility. The prices of metals has increased significantly since 2024 when those agreements were made.

Bozi, I have no idea what you are talking about. We are where we are and my current views reflect that. 165p NAV is hardly an incredible notion when the CEO himself referred to a similar figure 3 months ago. My view of the Board has changed from one of confidence to one of uncertainty. Time will tell. Where were are could easily be a mere trigger for better things given how easily parties can extrapolate themselves from 'irrevocable' pledges given a stronger bid, etc. When the circumstances change, I change my mind. I don't think that is unusual Bozi. Time will tell. I am upbeat about prospects for a stronger bid.

IP, Not going anywhere, being patient and holding. I expect a counter but it is not the racing certainty you suggest. The votes and Hearing lie ahead and it is important to prepare for those. Incidentally, JFK advocated the merits of 'disagreeing agreeably'. What do you think about that idea, IP?

IP, as things stand, there will be. We need to hope for the best and plan for that reality as of now. Lack of preparation and failure to vote helps the Scheme. I believe at least 1 counterbid will come IP and suspect this will prompt others. But I could be totally wrong hence my first comment.

Don't know Novice but plenty to play for here between now and the votes and Hearing in a few weeks' time. One of the first leaders to commend the US after the Maduro capture was DN. There is also the matter of 'auctions' generally. Each potential buyer has a strategy and those do not always involve bidding first. Needy, Misquoted and out of context for all to see. Most of all, you are quite desperate to cement in inevitability here and for shareholders to throw their cards to the inevitability of a successful JCC bid. My comments about NSS are were and are entirely valid. Shareholders are indeed aware that there is all to play for and are excited about that. For some reason or another, you are not. Were no counterbid to come, I would be quite happy to keep ownership of our assets and for the JCC bid to be rejected. I happen to believe that at least one counterbid will come.

Needy, 'shareholders are excited by US intervention'? Show me where I said that please. You're so keen to frame inevitability here aren't you Needy? The inevitability that the 28p bid is it for us and is the best we'll ever get. Yet where we are legally gives plenty of scope for counterbids and you're sore about that reality. Do you expect folk to just roll over when you abuse, Needy? Is that the Aussie way? Bluster? We are in the period when a counterbid can come at any stage now. The bid price exceeds the JCC offer. It's all reassuring for shareholders yet you get more and more wound up about this reality, Needy. You peddle hopelessness when there is clearly all to play for. This imbalance is notable.

Needy, I don't have to 'prove' anything to warrant having an opinion. My opinion is that a counterbid will come. I do not believe that the PRC will end up owning Solgold. I don't not believe this would fit the US agenda as set out within the NSS and exemplified by recent events in South America. All to play for here. Shareholders are excited about that Needy. Why aren't you? Have you shorted the share?

IP, what does that mean? My opinion is that a higher bid will come. I have encouraged all PIs to vote and I have stated that I will vote against but that folk should make their own decision for or against just vote. Why is this projecting away and what news are you referring to?

Needy, TP rules clearly stipulate that a counterbid can come at any stage. BHP's 'irrevocable' support in the scheme vote falls away with the other support in the event of a qualifying counter bid and that bid can come from BHP themselves. Whilst all this seems to irritate you Needy, you shouldn't shoot the messenger! I am merely stating what the rules are. For some reason or another, you don't seem to want a much higher bid Needy. Why is that?

Needy, I am not 'desperate' at all. There are 2 votes and one Hearing ahead based on where we are now. A counterbid can come at any stage. The bid price is currently above the JCC firm bid. It looks encouraging for a higher price outcome. I am sorry that all this irritates you for whatever reason.

Bozi, whether BHP want or need Cascabel or not is something outsiders like us don't know for sure. What we do know for sure is that BHP is perfectly entitled to launch a counterbid for BHP if it wants to despite having given its irrevocable support to the JCC Scheme bid of 28p subject to a couple of contractual obligations which are straightforward to adhere to.
