I assume the problem has been the older contracts which were written during a period of close to zero percent inflation (certainly post 2007).

Sadly post the pandemic we extremely rapidly moved into a period of double digit inflation which unexpectedly turned out to be non transitory.

So I assume many historical especially fixed contracts had no mechanism to adequately adjust for the inflation experienced.

This wasn’t a problem unique to Wood Group.

I also assume the new contracts agreed reflect our new post pandemic world and adequately accommodate our new inflationary world.

This should solve the margin problem?

If he’s removed the share price would leap within seconds but how can it be done given his share holdings (direct and indirect)?

Certainly we should ALL vote against his re-election to the board at the AGM but beyond that what can we do?

To be clearer Backrocks shareholding went up.

I purely asked whether they were clearing up THEIR admin as they couldn’t be bought after 30th but then realised they could still be bought In the OTC market in the US?

But whatever Blackrock have more shares now and that’s a good thing if you’re long.

Possibly but the Institutions have reduced their positions so we have more influence that we did 3 weeks ago.

Still hopeful of the 35p conditional offer being delivered.

Nice to dream of more and possibly we get another offer but realistically 35p it’s an excellent deal for shareholders compared with the alternatives as outlined by the BoD just 3 weeks ago.

It’s not unconditional and not agreed.

Clearly the conditional or unconditional offer can still be rejected by the Bod or more importantly by the shareholders at a EGM vote.

Until it’s voted on and accepted by all it can still be withdrawn but very unusual
