Including lease liabilities in the debt is misleading as interest isn’t paid against lease liabilities.
It should always be shown separately even if included in the reported total debt number.
Especially given the size of Cineworld’s lease liabilities.

Agencies believe ‘creativity is king’ not the actual mechanical production of that creative.
They separate the process.
They keep control of the premium creative and drive the production costs down through competition.

They will also provide the production skills but not the studios etc.

That’s how the industry works.
THG seem to be doing it very differently?

Advertising agencies outsource the majority of work but control the creative etc.
Work is done outside.
A very different business model.

I don’t think WPP would invest in this resource themselves.
They would outsource as much as possible to reduce the investment until it’s established.
Even at that point WPP would probably outside as they currently do with their advertising agencies.
