That way it’s negotiated off book and usually eventually gets traded.

The data is not logged on the BOOK as it can’t be.

As it’s a guess it should aways be ignored.

If someone knew it was likely to be a low ball offer they would either do nothing (not invested or the offeree - no point acting) or if holding and notthe offeree dump their volume onto the market will huge volume.

True but the price didn’t drop due to heavy selling volume.

At open it was dropped on no volume when many were unable to buy via online brokers and later the price was dropped after poor (strong) US market data and someone dumping 100’s of small delay reported off book trades - My thought is someone looking to free up shares by tripping stops?
