It hasn't been as exciting here of late. Quite possibly the share price will be about the same until the half year results and unless there's any exciting news at that time, I expect it might drop off a little bit. The dramatic rise came slightly too early for me - I was hoping for more super-cheap shares.
I'm not sure I understand how the MM system works (I definitely don't understand). With a thinly traded share, I can see why we need someone to buy back shares so that people don't get stuck with them, but I don't understand their role when somebody wants to buy. If you want to buy 1 million shares, I always assumed (apologies for statement of the obvious) that there either are shares available or there aren't shares available -and if there aren't shares available, wouldn't a buyer have to keep raising their buy price until somebody was prepared to sell? What's the role of the MMs in that situation?
That was quite a revealing hour of trading. It gives us something of an insight into what might happen if a few more people invested for the long term. If more people are taking notice of Hardide, I'm guessing we might see a fair bit of sp fluctuation until Hardide looks like a more secure long term hold.
Rich, my average price is 2.34p so I'm in this for the long haul. So is it the case that if all the shares were sold, the share price would pretty much reflect the company's value or could it be overvalued or undervalued?
