Hi Richie & TT, I was doing a bit of research in to hard chrome plating on landing gear and it seems like only 12% of the landing components can't be coated using HvoF (of those components where a coating is required) due to line of sight issues. And it may be that HvoF, while not as good as Hardide is still a perfectly acceptable coating - plus it's likely the companies currently applying it have got contracts (no idea what length they might be of course). That makes me think these first orders are going to be quite small, although I suppose 'quite small' might still be sizeable for a company of Hardide's capacity.
Hi,

Has anybody ever found an estimate of the potential market size for replacing hard chrome? I've been trying to find a figure for an airline's annual spend on hard chrome plating, but all I've come up with is a figure for the US Department of Defense from nearly 20 years ago - which was about $100 million.
Has anybody had any difficulty selling their shares? I thought I'd try and sell some and then buy back at a lower price, but I've had problems getting a quote. The explanation I've received for this is that there was nobody who wanted to buy, which sounds entirely logical, but I thought the MMs were there to help keep things ticking over when a share is thinly traded. Quite possibly I've misunderstood something.
