Q24: Assuming the MRHA approval comes through for the lateral flow antibody test is it the company's intention to sell the product to the public and is there a time-frame for this?

Assuming MHRA approval for self-test is granted for the UK-RTC antibody test, this will enable the UK Government to provide the test to members of the public. Omega itself will continue to supply Abingdon, as lead member of the RTC, so that Abingdon can supply the Government. To the extent that demand comes from third parties, Omega's role is still to supply Abingdon to meet this demand i.e. with the RTC test, Omega will not be directly involved in selling to the public.

must admit i'm confused i though they were expecting mhra feedback any time now that would lead to people being able to use the test at home. if its not the case then why have they gone for mhra?

true but this is why i continue to hold - this test "may" not be what we hoped but we are a test manufacturing company where the uk gov alone is spending multiple billions on testing and we will sell everything we make whether its mologic, avacta or some other test. all testing manufacturing capacity is needed globally and when covid dies down we can focus on more profitable food tests.

this is being talked about on avacta board. so if our mologic antigen test comes through and we now have extra more profitable capacity it could all end up being a nice Christmas after all

and the great thing about being the manufacturer in this deal is if there is a prob with one kit ( which i doubt ) we just simply start producing different ones for others
