was thinking over the weekend about the effect the uk being first in approving the vaccine had on other countries.

politically they trumped everyone else and in terms of supply they also did ( i'm not debating if thats a good thing etc ). If the vaccine works in theory our economy might recover quicker too.

Now if phase 3 is in 20 countries and they know from the peer review its good why would other countries wait for eua?

ie if they start phase 3 and after a few weeks see its working would they risk not getting any supply ( as a few 100,000 doesn't cover the world ) by waiting until the end or would they move asap. Politically they then can say to their people we've secured this wonder drug etc and if it works their economy recovers quicker etc.

They have all been trumped once on vaccines would other countries risk waiting before they say sod it lets buy as much sng001 as we can?

ie a few weeks after phase 3 starts i think we can expect an eua anytime from any of the 20 countries and then others will follow.
