DC, legal & general final results 11th March, m&g final results 12th March, i t won't be long before we know which direction these are going, glad i'm holding both as I've no idea which will come off best

Hello DC, yes i agree based on the current share price and dividend yield lgen is better value at the moment, but i think that will change again, mng has always been one of the top dividend payers, it's just because the share price has risen so much here since last April, it will be very interesting to see how all the insurers play out after they have gone exdiv, and which ones i add to will depend on where the best value is

Nick, I guess it depends on what price you will be able to buy them back for after xdiv, for myself going on the price I bought these I'm getting over 10% yield, so I'm going to hold as I'm wanting to add more sometime around April if the price has taken a big drop, hoping to do the same with lgen,phnx,aviv, good passive income for topping up pension, but if I was still working I would be more tempted to sell for profits

Spares, I agree, I use mixed selection of funds for growth and diversity, and a handful of dividend shares for income
