Neither tigray or ethiopian goverment should be able or in ethiopian governnents case want to start anything when they have a major shortage of fuel. If the iranian conflict really drags on the economic problems should mean both regions have too much on their hands to want to start anything large. No fuel means farmers unable to use tractors and supply constraints means fertilizer harder and more expensive to get. Tigray had fuel shortages even before the iranian conflict kicked off. Can see tigray especially needing foriegn food aid which they are unlikely to get if they start anything. Thats logically how it should play out if the various politicians and army leaders have any sense anyway. Ironically harry might have moaned about the iran conflict that has averted or delayed one in ethiopia.

Kefi still on my watch list still like its longterm potential. Just not going to post all the time as an ex holder as may see another investment i like and do not need all the drama and its not as if there is a shortage of people with eyes on and thoughts about the stock.

Still might go into chancery royalty Deedee. Have been watching kefi weighting things up but do not see any easing of politcal problems in ethiopia. Think thats why kefi had to raise as the deals offered by royalty companies were poorer due to that factor.

Think kefi could still be a good long term investment but maybe needs the politcal situation to become clearer in ethiopia,new blood and someone to really drive the Saudi side. My views on gold have not changed at all.

Personally think they have been misleading their shareholders by not being open about the history of the licence areas but a test will be if they ever get the much delayed permission to drill.

Yeah keeping an eye on things and will likely reinvest here if things blow over might even reinvest if any conflict happens but looks to be short.

Meanwhile not going to continually haunt the board as a non shareholder with lots of links and info as everyone should do their own reseach plus with the politcal tension stories continually dropping it would just end up with me effectively kicking the company every day which i have no interest in doing.

Which group the government decides to supervise the elections in each is seen as backing that groups territorial claims on that area.

Effectively government in no win situation as going to upset someone but my guess is it will reverse the decision.

Some level of tension suits the government as it can have troops at polling stations voting more tightly supervised and some areas no voting place due to security concerns.

Do not see government wanting to fire the first shot its more like a pre world one situation where things can just slide into conflict.

Anyway with food and fuel supplies restricted into Tigray its the TPLF that will have to decide which way it will have to jump, proper talks where it will make some concessions or military action.

Think things will resolve one way or another over the next say month or so maybe sooner as do not see present situation able to go on indefinitely.

Worst case kefi might have to pull out its people for a couple of months. Best case US and west steps in behind the scenes knocks some heads together and all sides deescalate. Maybe most likely case there is a conflict but is shorter than previous one ends in a stalemate. However as a small investor just feel more comfortable seeing how things play out if i lose some upside so be it.
