The National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) is committed to offering the much-anticipated guarantee of converting local currency funds to hard currencies for foreign investments deemed “strategic.”

In its latest directive issued a week ago, the NBE allowed the opening and operation of offshore accounts for strategic foreign direct investment projects, mainly mining and Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects with large capital investments.

The directive also gives a guarantee for mining and PPP projects working in the energy sector to convert their local currency earnings to foreign currency to repay loans as well as repatriate dividends.

Deal being done is dependent on on everyone being happy but as everyone is happy..you can of course wait a some days till the credit and board approvals start coming out but obviously you are not going to get in at this level. So its up to people when they want to buy really.

While I have not seen the TW interview TW has himself declared himself as an insider before when needed to. From past experience interviews have been more of a case of elaborating on factors that have been a bit overlooked by the market (and on here) helping Harry get the message across about the company a gauge to see how confident Harry is and so on.. .anything that helps get he message out there is helpful really.

Its achievable because most of kefis deposits are open or expandable and it has the the exploration portfolio of a much bigger company then chuck in what could and should happen with a middle eastern listing. Sure there is negative sentiment around due to past history but new money is not going to care about that. Short term will just be happy with TK go ahead and JQ upgraded resources then the company kicking on with JQ go ahead and progress with Hawiah and listing plans early next year. Longer term i would think the company will be taken out but if not the company has enough to keep it going in a world where we are likely to see higher prices for copper and gold and resources in general.

Warrants exercisable up to two year from admission date (18th of may 2022) However would be surprised if between good news on TK and Jibal Qutman they are not exercised in the short term.
