The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
FI. I'm a human being and I need warmth, love and care. Certain people turn to cocaine or Baby Sham...i turned to Rupert. In my hour of weakness, I did bring him into me..uj,into my life. Hope you understand xxxx.
Deltalo. I used to be in Kdd. Diamond company. We used to get excited everytime we found a big diamond. The fact that I'm still driving a 3 wheeler car and flying a 36 year old Cherokee Piper at weekends, gives you a clue how it wasn't related.
Ps. For anyone that was in Kdd...our CEO was last seen in South America, Panama hat, aviator sunglasses and big brown envelopes. We as share holders are at the bottom of the food chain. We escape when funds managers decide.
If the sp was linked to the great film releases, we'd be at 50p plus. It's not related. This is not a normal situation. It's very basic thinking, if anyone thinks this is the case. Yes, it should be but its not so.
Court case yes. Big fund managers haven't started buying.
Most of us SH wouldn't know how to veto against the big pay packets. That's the truth. Interesting rns as it details the fact that resolution passed. I didn't vote. Truth is this, big pay for guys who wouldn't be employed by bigger blue chip companies. That's the truth. Private boys club comes to mind and this goes across majority of firms.
Mountain BB,
Thank you for attending. Appreciate the feedback.
I told you. The "we must move on" is the fastest way of avoiding questions. It's a trick. Move on where? Home? Most important date in the diary, and "we must move on"??
No reply to share dilllution. The wording should have been.. "obviously that's a sign of defeat" surely we're not defeated are we? Regardless of reply, "I'm buying more shares at this SP, are or can you?".
Where is everyone. One quick one. I got in touch with Rupert, my old/new pal. He wants to meet me for lunch at Greggs. He's asking if OK to join us on CUB board and pass on his wisdom. Just thought I'd ask. He's still got the Range Rover but short of cash I think. It's my turn to pay for lunch he says..but I'm sure
Danisaur. Thanks. One foot note. Easier for a non pro shorter as oppossed to us non pro LT.
Its in the mind set. So most of are shareholders I'm guessing, as oppossed to going long on futures ie. non share holders on IG for example. We find it difficult to sell as we have sp targets. Guys shorting are seeing it as a bonus, I or we non pros, psychologily have a different mind set. They're going against the norm of going long. Hope I'm making sense
Danosaur. Sorry, just my experience of knowing a shorter. Imagine they shorted from 70p,seen it drop to 25p..so 45p at £1k per point up. So 45k up.
They can play a game that most can't, as they say, anything below 30p is brill, got my 40k anyway. So they can look away and may return to follow sp with thoughts of 30p is worst case, as the sp drops so no pressure. They'll have an IG type screen with flashing lights showing profits. It's actually brilliant, if you're in profit. I was 44k up one day on a long, Hong Kong by night comes to mind. Lights everywhere. It maybe a case of 50k tax free profit is enough, so it may be profit related rather than company related. Just what I know
BlueBuxton. You sound well kitted out. Just be careful. Aviator sunglasses I hope. Thank god FI and Sammy are not attending. Dress code of leather shorts are not appropriate.
Mountainous. At risk of patronising you please ask on the money side carefully. Please make it clear that share dilllution isn't an option with LT sh.
Its like going to business and asking your mum to borrow money, when it goes wrong.
"So obviously, being experienced businessmen, are you looking at making the business profitable and in what way? Obviously you've got no plans of running to your mum, have you?
That way, management will realise that it will be seen as their failure. Just look at their faces to see answer. It's not acceptable
Mountainous. I'm glad you're attending. I'm confident that you'll ask the correct questions. I've attended these AGMs before. Usual tricks incl rushing answers and simulations on time restrictions. Truth is..there are no restrictions on time. My trick is..sorry,i don't understand. Please could you explain again please. Let them give u a detailed reply, and go in again with a question on reply. Go well and thanks in advance.
FI. I trust you. I'd expect you to be direct and not waste £250 on a jolly and a fried Mars bar.
Look at the trades on top right. Some trades go through as buys, when it's a sell. Guys with L2 see same but it will make sense when you see previous trades. The figures you're seeing are not accurate. They're going off what's officially declared by brokers. The time of trade and price of trade are acurate.
Cekim: it's a trick. Lots of sells that look like buys. Look at the £80k buy at 27.18. That was a sell. Always check the previous bids
Seen it all my life. Guys that talk the talk but haven't got the bxxxx when in front of a big audience. What's the use of spending £250 odd on attendance and not asking questions? Every exec there are in profit. Just give my their waist size and I'll guess their poverty level. The guys on stage are doing well, the red herring of big bonuses if SP is at £1.xx is a trick. They're all on good money, regardless of sp.
Ps. Not met Sammy or FI, but I'd trust the lse version of FI to ask tough questions. Not sure what he's like in real life though.
Plenty of great posts on here. Now, we need these posters at the AGM asking questions and not being shy. AGM too far away for me (and other travel issues) hence I'm not there. There are ex posters who I'm in touch with who'd agree with the following semtiment: great words on lse..now go and tell the management. I'm reality, only a few people have the confidence
Sammy: do you mind. This is a serious forum for investors. Cotton trousers, £6 glasses. Stop requesting travel info.
£118 is the best deal I've found, you may need a B&M tent though.
Sammy. Where I will land in Canada, there are no custom officials. Sometimes I land at unkniwn locations.
Sammy. I meant the Canada hearing. FI and Bonx tonight would have been fun. Finish questions at 12am,then pix with share holders. Mountainous cannot ask questions I read. I went to a company press conference once... LPX. I switched accents and made out I was from a foreign press agency. Dutch Gold) fellow lse poster) was in stiiches. The CEO was happy to chat...great clue to him trying to spike the SP and sell out..which he did.
