Hi S - morning - good to hear all is well. DAx gap to 5,948.94 and DOW gap to 11,410.21 are looking a long way off - but possible.

S agree EU seems very oiverstretched, and DAX struggling to hold above 6,000 and DOW not that far away (11,445) from 11,500 key psychological levelm - suggest a retrace sometime

simple as S - works for you - starting to realise the simple ones can be the best - and less stressful! I need to make this work easier!

DAX fill to 5995. USD appears to be range bound - hopeuflly there will be a breakout soon. S - yes all well here thanks. Will watch CHF today then - it is rising in strength now.

Morning Farmer - great posts. May be range bound initially following big falls in indices. Agree - I am very alarmed - as can see Europea/US could be in trouble for some time to come.

Hi guys. Jona - agree the great thing about FX / indices is that there is no emotion in longing/shorting (like there is for stocks for idiots like me - which is why I respect people who short stocks so much - and am never spread betting stocks again - as find it so hard to short stocks!). There were loads of great opportunities today - and Farmer's sprinkling method clearly works by catching the 50 pips long! Amazing how the whole day turned when USD hit pivot around 11.15. Going to log off now - agree with S that in theory should see a pullback but may take a few hours! Good luck.

S - no idea where you got that 315 target from - but it was excellent. Agree expecting fall now as USD rises.

5,997.74 gap to fill on close seems possible.

Hi guys - been away - seems that simply watching the levels and seeing that 93 (the weekly pivot on UK times not US) could not be broken was the key - wish I'ld had the courage to take my own advice and place the trade whilst away from the screen. Oh well - that will teach me! All the best for the weekend, Rob

Jona - good one - you can see that 70 area really holding well - but beware 1.30 news could blow it away.

Jona - no worries - often forget the weekly and monthly pivots - but they can be so powerful as causing stalls sometimes. Have to go out for a few hours - so may not answer any questions until later. As S said the 1.30 News could cause real waves - as could the news at 2.55/3.00! No orders myself now whilst away - as not as brave as S - but have great respect for the idea of littering orders around the place at key levels - as clearly works very well.

Jona / S - montly pivot on EU is at 1.4257 and Weekly pivot above at 1.4293 -(or 71 if using US closing times not London) suggesting will really struggle to break 300 today - could be wrong, as News can do anything - but for certain will definetely stall at 70/80 area, as stalled at 57 (ok 62!). Differences are due to the times that the pivots are calcualted - I have 2 MT4s - one based on US closes, one based on London.
