REQUEST FOR TRADING HALT
88 Energy Limited (the “Company”) requests that the securities of the Company be placed in a
trading halt as follows:
1. The trading halt has been requested pending the release of drilling results;
2. The trading halt should be until the release of the announcement by the Company,
expected to be no later than market pre-open Tuesday, 5 March 2019; and
3. The Company is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.
No more than the fact that Repsol are no doubt looking over the fence, but:
SKK Migas has confirmed a gas discovery at the Repsol-operated Sakakemang PSC, onshore Central Sumatra, Indonesia, according to Wood Mackenzie's research director Andrew Harwood.
"a simple and informal chat " would indicate a 2 way conversation with shareholders, so a chance for the SOU BOD to gauge PI sentiment about......
Perhaps the LE is not as cut and dried as we all hoped - maybe there is no-one at present offering anywhere near JPs valuation for SOU. The only interest (from Repsol) was withdrawn today...
The chat might be about getting a feel from PIs about the appetite for some of the alternatives?
Sell the Company at a lower price?
or
Sell the Tendrara Production concession only and continue with Greater Tendrara exploration & Sidi & Luca's baby?
or
SOU to take the TE-5 Horst into production?
All in my personal opinion (but what do I know?)
GLA.
I did ask JP and he confirmed:
The presentation is focused on the TE5 Horst (it would be too early to present TE10 as we are still completing technical work and have yet to test the well).
I also asked if the presentation could be posted on the Sound website. He said he would check, but couldn't see any reason why not.
250GTO, nothing more than currently cash balance and potential income from warrants should pay off the bond - probably not the case after TE-11. If we get a share offer, then in that case i assume a fund raise would be required!?
I thought you'd moved on to that 50 BAGGER over at ECHO?
Who is chairman of that AIM Co by the way...?
There is also the possibility that an offer might well come in the form of shares rather than cash.
SOU has almost £20M potentially coming in assuming all warrant holders convert. Together with cash at year end, this should be enough to pay off the bond and clear all existing liabilities. Must be another consideration.
PNE79 - I do think that option 1 is now a real possibility.
The initial 4 yrs of the latest agreement has a commitment for 2 wells covered by TE-9 and TE-10.
I imagine whoever buys us out will kick TE-11 into the long grass and focus the drilling activity on getting TE-5 into production. This to me is a big indication that JP at least expects a firm offer prior to TE-11.
The Greater Tendrara Petroleum Agreement has a duration of 8 years from award and will be divided into 3 phases, with each phase having pre-agreed work commitments. The work commitments under the Greater Tendrara Petroleum Agreement will be: Initial period of 4 years: 2 exploration wells with the minimum Triassic objective. It is expected that the approaching TE-9 and TE-10 wells will fulfill this commitment.
Feb19 could be a big month for SOU. GLA :-)
Seems like the first drink of the New Year was premature!
latest update from Puffet over on t'other site
"hook up still underway weather good still hopeful we will get there soon. fingers crossed still :)"
Otto Energy Limited (ASX:OEL) (“Otto” or the “Company”) is pleased to provide the following update
on its oil and gas operations on the North Slope of Alaska.
Construction of the approximately 11 mile ice road to the Winx-1 exploration well location is now
nearing completion, with pioneering progress at over 90%, base layer construction at 87% and final
top layer (finished) progress at 77%. Ice pad construction will commence immediately upon
completion of the ice road ahead of rig mobilisation in early February 2019.
The Nordic Rig#3 recently underwent a 6-day, third party inspection to ensure that rig machinery and
equipment are functioning properly and are in accordance with requirements. Only minor issues
found, which will be rectified over the days leading up to mobilisation. The rig was found to be in
generally excellent condition and passed all major tests, including the ready to drill test.
Winx-1 is located approximately 4 miles east of the Horseshoe-1/1A well that significantly extended
the highly successful Nanushuk play fairway to the south. Winx-1 will target gross best estimate
prospective resource of 400 million barrels of oil (75 million barrels Otto’s 18.75% net revenue
interest) across multiple stacked objectives, including the Nanushuk Formation, which is the primary
target of the well.
LOL missdosh
My resolve WILL be tested when hooked up - It may just be within Jan if Biffa's call is correct.
Indeed.
I'll have to wait until 1st Feb to celebrate - surely we'll be well hooked up by then...?
Taking longer than anticipated but still optimistic it will be complete this weekend.

The TE-10 well has been drilled to a TD at 2,218m measured depth ("MD"), 209m MD below the base of the TAGI sandstone sequence, in an, as yet, undated section of mudstones and minor thin bedded sandstones, with gas shows down to 2,070m at 2,218m measured depth ("MD"), 209m MD below the base of the TAGI sandstone sequence,
I assume that further work is reauired to date these mudstones, but gas shows at this level must be positive...?

JJ did reply in anolder FSC with "Luca's retired"
However as I recall from last FSC, the question was asked again and JP went into more detail. Something along the lines that the consolidation project is still being progressed.
Worth a check - if I can find it I'll post this evening.
James seems to be hinting that the timing is not slipping, but clearly TE-11 is slipping back. Also at the last FSC, the wording seems to have changed from "LE" to "monetise the asset"
If Sound was sold after TE-10, I'm not convinced that JP can achieve a cost that sufficiently represents the potential of the whole business. If this is the case, maybe the latest thinking is to sell the complete Tendrara Licence, pay an exceptional dividend but retain funds for Sound to pursue:
- Anoual Exploration = TE-11, TE-12, ...
- Sidi Moktar geophysical data acquisition followed by Exploration drill programme
- Conclusion of "Luca's baby" project
