Going Concern
As detailed in Note 1 to these financial statements, the Directors have concluded that it is necessary to draw attention to the revenue and cost forecasts in the business plans and the uncertainty that surrounds revenues especially in relation to the Company's Covid assays. In order for the Company to continue as a going concern, there is a requirement to achieve a certain level of sales. If an adequate sales level cannot be achieved to support the Group and Company, the Directors have the options to reduce ongoing spend and seek additional funds from shareholders or debt providers. While the Board is confident that it will achieve the required revenue, and has a successful track record in both reducing costs and raising funds, there remains uncertainty as to the level of sales that will be achieved in the forthcoming months, especially in light of on-going regulatory delays on the Genedrive® 96 SARS CoV-2 test and the delays on the POC product, in addition to uncertainty around the amount of cost reduction that may be required and the amount of funding that could be raised from shareholders or debt providers. This combination of factors represents a material uncertainty that may cast significant doubt on the Group and Company's ability to continue as a going concern.
