Can't understand the ITV. v Netflix argument. ITV are a British company mainly providing services to a British public and selling production abroad. Netflix are a streaming device selling their content world wide if you don't pay for it you don't get it! That's why they make money but with the upsurge of DIsney who produce more shows that could easily change and if a new service or streaming system was to happen who knows what would happen take a look what hapoened to Blockbuster! ITV have provided a service free down an aerial for over sixty years so how can you compare the two? I would put my money on ITV anytime under the right management

Will see what happens when Disney go it alone in the future. Netflix only have ten per cent of produced shows DIsney fourty.

Have you also seen that Disney could take over 40℅ of new show that they produce and Netflix only produce 10℅ of new shows this could affect Netflix in the next couple of years. And with ITV being a big producer of shows who sell all around the world don't you think ITV are on more firmer ground than Netflix

Tom plan B.. Barrett go ex divi Thursday may sell them to buy TW. See what happens after ex divi day and if they recover fast.

Tom \ Dividend chaser Bought in at 146p so 148p would give me a small profit plus the dividend. Still got a while to go before TW go ex but want to be in for that big dividend Aldo seem to rember last year TW went to 208p before ex. So profit to be made on both fronts its timing it right that matters at the mo!!

Slow climb in the SP this week but nevertheless better than nothing need to get to 148p for me to move out.

Don't usually comment on shares I don't own but why the drop today? I keep an eye on this share because i have easyjet and most of the time one reflects what the other is doing

Nice rise in share price up to now up 2.30p . Let's hope this afternoon brings a further uplift ? .

Tippee. First real comment from you about ITV. why do you think there will be a downturn? And just one other question why do you call yourself tippee tommee surly that is trying to cause trouble!!

No if you buy today you will not get dividend it takes three days to complete contract so you would not be on the record for dividend.

When I left school I became an adult and since then I have tried to act as an adult and be polite and pleasant to everybody in everyway. Reading some of the posts on these boards makes me think what a waste of time it must be for them and what do they get out of it. Its so juvenile and not becoming of people who call themselves adults.

One point you missed tippy if you sell at 186p and buy at 150p you get more shares of ITV so if they go up 1p you get a greater profit on ITV. As well as a bigger amount on the divi payment

When any of my portfolio shares are down I look at it this way sell them reinvest in a better share with the money then you have a better chance of recovering some of your lose and you still have the exactly the same money invested minus a few dealing charges. Blindly holding on will never give you a profit you could be making it elseware with all the other shares on a rise that have a good record. But remember don't buy on a FT100 up day
