Aaaaah thanks AML_007 that's very helpful - BIG THANKS !
It's a pity the tone of conversation on this B'B isn't as helpful and constructive every day. If it were then maybe, just maybe, some of the original long term holders and posters would return. One lives in hope. Thanks again my friend !

Interesting analysis Ghini and I share your concerns regarding the medium to longer term 2024 and beyond. Just out of self interest (as an exisitng shareholder), do you understand how they arrive at the calculation of a 16.67% dilution? I get the 9.8% discount but not the dilution calcs.

Thanks for posting Fluker, and as a LTH I fully share your positivity. However, did you read the comments attached to the article? Just incredible how the vast majority of those commenting see Moers et al "murdering one of the greatest-ever marques" and "This is an automotive atrocity in process. " I cannot for the life of me see how anyone, other than a non investing, plus fours wearing, pipe smoking historian of classic cars could ever be so negative. Personally, I'm continually shocked as I read each of the Moers interviews published this week when he describes in lurid detail how bad the fundamental manufacturing and quality control processes were when he arrived. Project Horizon sounds long overdue and one wonders how the previous leadership team managed to survive so long with such structural / operational inefficiencies. Once Moers and the new team have delivered these immediate quality and margin improvements; all of which will flow straight to the bottom line, then I wonder what's next for a reboot - Creativity & Design maybe? Interesting times ahead methinks.

Likewise so I can only assume the same. Wish they'd all pack it in and allow this BB to get back to where it was - a source for like minded people to engage in constructive debate without constant bickering, snide remarks, bullying and any combination thereof.
FFS, we're all here for one thing - to make money from AML's success !

On the nail Jackwalker422 !
Many (myself included) have made similar please over the past few weeks/months. Here's to a collective B'B "awakening". Take a deep breath, relax and please everyone, think before posting.

Englander - I think you'll find that the LSE moderators are more than reasonable and, as a rule of thumb, tend to remove any posts which do not relate to that particular BB shares - in our case AML. Been on LSE almost a year and the trend seems to be that recommending any other shares on any other BB leads to removal. Not defending, advocating or justifying BUT if nothing else it keeps each B'B focussed.

Doit - simple answer is it's possible, BUT it all depends on the ratio of severance payments to salary. If you take the total salaries saved, annualise it and then deduct from this the total cost of severance payments (including PILONs, ex-gratia lump sums, vested share options, bonuses and other "on costs") then you'll get an approximation of the payback period. From professional experience it can often be Year 2 before there is a net benefit to overheads. Hope this helps.

Robertbreckon1 - thanks for the IG information. I'm also with them for other shares which I wrap in ISAs. Tried to buy MXC via IG online but no joy at all. Any ideas as to why?
The best way I can answer that is with a conversation I had with my wife yesterday (maybe I should adopt the new moniker of "My wife DOES know"? ) Anyway, out on our usual daily walk and I happened to mention that our AML holding had hit a new record since buying in at a fairly handsome 5 figure sum last April. Her ears pricked up and she said "By how much?" to which I replied "We've just gone in excess of 125%" There was then a stony silence as the accounting cogs in her head crunched the numbers, followed by "So, are we selling?" "No way" was my immediate reply followed again by further stony silence. Eventually my wife broke the silence and said "I guess you're seeing Aston Martin a bit like me then ......... a definite long term hold ......."
And that my friends is where I'm at with both my long term relationships - 35 years married and no plans to bail out of AML either !

Nice one Pau1Oz ! Delivering a pretty similar long and short combined strategy with CINE this year. Increasing holding and paying end of year tax payments to account without increasing initial investment from last year. Life is good and AML remains LTH

DG - can only comment in terms of my dealings with them which have always been very efficiently and professionally handled. Not been affected by the £25,000 limit as all of my individual trades have been below that ceiling. I'm also a LTH as opposed to day trader so one could argue that my "dealing needs" are pretty small compared to others.
Hope that helps / clarifies

Not sure whether my aging memory is playing tricks on me (it often does!) but it's possible that the top team may have removed the VP / CHRO role as I seem to recall seeing it on the official AML plc website some time back (when we all had extra time during summer lockdown!) but, unless I'm mistaken, the role doesn't appear to be on there now. Given previous announcements regarding the need to reduce fixed costs then it could well be that a number of restructuring / overhead reductions have taken place "off the radar" so to speak given that there is no no need to issue an RNS unless said roles are of an AML Director capacity e.g. CEO, CFO. Sentiments for LTH here remain totally unchanged ......
Just an observation as I sit with Columbian decaf, buttery croissants and weekend FT in hand - isn't life on this here BB wonderful when only the mature adults are around ? No names mentioned (need I?) but there's such a warm welcoming atmosphere this morning. Wonder who could possibly pop in and spoil it ????
Enjoy the weekend folks and long may this renaissance continue ........
