I honestly think there's a certain percentage that think "oh it's gone quiet I'll move to something else where the action is".
When instead you should really be thinking the opposite.
When there's tons of rampy people spamming it's likely to be near, or at, the highs it's going to rise to, and when they vanish and go quiet it's likely to have fallen back to near the lows it's likely to fall to.

You're worried about a large non-existent sell?

My gut feeling is that this is pretty much the bounce point give or take a little and 12p will probably hold (whether tested or not).

I'd add more but can't really do that without cutting my other positions at the moment and I'm also very confident in those (particularly SNG) and is sensible to not go too overweight in one thing.

Pretty much - it's going to wiggle around as people find it hard to put an exact value on things.

Then suddenly they'll announce something has been sold for a load of money, or something IPOs / raises money at a price that lets you know what their stake in something is now worth, or they detail some good deal with all the cash raised, and it pop....off it goes again without warning.

Relevance being Vogogo obviously (and to a slight, but not direct, extent Factom).

I'm not going to join in the bickering but it's good to see the cryptocurrencies levelling off again.
Whilst I'm still grumpy I didn't risk it and go long on BTC at 5800-6000.
Not a big fan of CCs but think there's a reasonable chance that was the short/medium term bottom.

I think the thing with this is, if you've done your homework and decided there's a lot of potential, and pretty good chance of it coming off (like me and any of you presumably), then there's no real inclination to sell regardless of the price movement anywhere near these levels, because ultimately, it's a waiting game to see if either drugs come good and rocket this up.

The fast rise to 26p was very tempting to sell, due to the sheer pace of the rise, and inevitably some did. However I considered I would prefer to be still in than take a smaller profit. I think the profit takers quickly dwindled and this ended up sitting above 20p with hardly anyone still wanting to sell. So we're back to the situation where anyone new, or anyone adding more, is gradually pushing the price back up, all the time getting closer to the potentially big news on LOXL2.

I'd probably have added more already on this but the margin and spread make it extremely off-putting and expensive to do so. So just sitting and waiting now.

Agreed - for me I think Factom is probably the one and others are bonuses.

If it was anything like their last article on there it'll end up praising the FFWD investments for doing really well then ****ging them off for making more investments! Whilst basically having a clear overriding grudge against Mellon fuelling it. Suppose they could try to use the crypto dip to try to have a dig.

It's a strange one but I've often noticed AIM down the day after the larger markets have a wobble.
I don't know if it's me imagining it or not but it seems like AIM just takes a similar broad hit but a touch later.

When I buy, most of the time it doesn't even show, as it's quite often on a spread, and depending on the provider they often don't hedge immediately.
The order book and trade feed is all smoke and mirrors anyway.

Was going to go long on bitcoin around the 5800-6000 mark but resisted the temptation as I'm not a big cryptocurrency believer but thought there was an 85% chance that was the short-medium term bottom.
Already back approaching 6500 now.

At the current MCAP I can think of worse investments for them than SNG.
Same logic as for all of us I imagine.
Basically two bites at the cherry.
If PXS comes good, for the thing they're probably confident enough in to have already invested, then this should be quids in too.
If it doesn't then there's still the SNG in-house IFN-β to potentially make it big.

Personally I use IG or Spreadex.
Though if I was stopped from acquiring more of something (and I wanted to) I'd just open an extra account elsewhere to do it.
Most don't cost anything so no reason not to.
