I hope they've started to dig in ready for a guerilla war. That's the only way to have a chance against a super-power. Trying to go toe with Russia won't end well as they'll dominate with air power and artillery.
I remember Tesla trading at 40p a couple of years ago....but that doesn't really mean anything either.
This suffers from the exact opposite of hype. It's hysterical negative sentiment on top of the valid headwinds we all know.
Their growth rate in their main market the UK is still very good, they're still making plenty of money, and mostly have had issues abroad due to the logistics crisis.
The chances of private equity* taking this over, or trying to, are probably rising by the minute, as it gets to silly prices (buy up some shares at the lows, make an offer, even if it doesn't succeed they'd probably make a packet on the shares they'd already bought).
(*who'd have the cash to sort foreign distribution centres quickly)
Also think the lack of stock is putting people off. Each buy moves it up considerably with no sellers around anymore.
They've now ticked up - see if it lets you get a quote now.
149.4999 is the buy price atm for 25k
As discussed on Tw4tter - I suspect its a quirk of the automated systems with JBER's ask below the price being really offered and I suspect this nauses up the systems - meaning it tries to get the quote from them who don't really want to sell any - and doesn't fail over onto the people offering stock at a higher price.
Seen the same on a lot of miners. Slow starts with fear in the air before people start to think "why am I not buying this!?".
Platinum price is soaring now...
What a mind-bogglingly stupid thing to say...even for these forums.
He's out. I'm in ;)
OK - I was in already....but "more in" now.
(people are always too impatient in general - and doubly so during a pandemic which causes all sorts of issues)
I'm actually pretty surprised they didn't exclude corticosteroid patients from this trial! (I remember thinking that was a big reason why the previous trial would succeed....in their absence!)
Manifesto - fair point (my reply was hasty - as it was old news to me - but agree it's odd that it wasn't excluded from this trial - I'm out of date).
That has been known for a long time I'm afraid.
Dumbpunter: just wasn't prepared to risk the crazy amount of gains I'd made is the very short answer (I'm not sure any level of confidence could have justified it). No special insight/foresight and was a tough decision.
WESTCCOUNTRYBO - don't know what you're trying to suggest but you probably need to put the tin foil hat back on.
WESTCCOUNTRYBO - it's not my first post on here...quite the opposite....I used to be pretty much one of the only posters on here it was so quiet :p
(this was my biggest position back in late 2019/2020 - and it's there in my post history if you really want to scroll back that far :p).
Just heard about the bad news (having sold out quite a while ago) so comiserations to anyone who held (can see the odd name I remember).
I know there will be plenty of upset people, who've lost money, but try not to lash out too much at the CEO (or anyone else). He really is a very nice chap, having spoken to him by phone one (or twice) back in the sub 10p days, and not many CEOs take the time to do that.
Sadly, this is just the risk you take with drug stocks, and if the result had been good, everyone would be ecstatic now.
Hopefully there's not too many of you that had oversized stakes.
Whilst this is undervalued and has been overdue a rise for a while…the buying does seem to have gone up another gear.
Does seem rather leaky. JV in Kenya? :p
I do find it funny their disclaimer that people shouldn't use the information for trading yet they charge that price...which means pretty much guarantees that people will use it for trading on...otherwise they wouldn't pay that price! ;)
Betaville don't post their stuff publicly at first.
A subscription isn't exactly cheap...

Price is a bit irrelevant whilst it's just rumour - can go up and down like a yoyo when there's nothing concrete for people to hang onto - however it's at least a step in the right direction to be being talked about as a takeover target, by slightly more credible sources like betaville, with a half decent repuation for knowing about interest in the city.
JD_86: Everyone will have a different opinion on that.
I'd probably take 200p for a quick win, as I'm not greedy, and invested considerably lower than that price. Others will have a different view if they've held for longer and want to see a better reward for their patience (or get their money back).
The multi-million dollar question is what price would the Kamani's take. I don't think there's many people who know the answer. Hell....it may even have changed in recent years/months.
