The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
You actually think Steve Bray is spectacular? Typical left wing thuggish behaviour, shout over anyone you don't want to listen to. Anyone who's unsure about what to expect from this mob should take a good look at Steve Bray the EU supporting loon, Labour in all its glory.
Dasper
Regards STP, I often wonder what motivates the just stop oil protesters. Everyone seems to hate them and they're usually steaming hypocrites. I think it's just attention of any kind, even bad attention seems to do it for them.
Bit like a dog really I suppose.
@Reppyrr
CBR 1000 sounds like a great reward for investing in RR, go for it mate! Would love to get back into bikes if time allowed, not sure I'd have the b alls for it nowadays. Hope SP works out for you
Mine got removed this morning after Sticky Toffee Tw at or his mate MickB went crying to teacher. Nobody likes a grass.
'Morpheus' (lol)
Feel free to open up about Lloyds, knock yourself out mate.
BTW is it the political discussion you don't like? or just the politics you disagree with? ( I'm assuming you're left wing).
In which case that seems quite passive aggressive
'The country was never as bad then as it is now.'
Absolute b ollox.
Labours recession of 2008-2009 was the longest and deepest recession since the second world war. As I've said on here before, construction industry was decimated, sites closing down everywhere. Combine with Labours bright idea to import 100s thousands of cheap immigrants from the EU at the same time just added insult to injury. Took probably 10 years to get back to where it was.
Compare to now when construction is healthy, wages are where they should be and personally my business has done well last couple years.
That was despite Starmers repeated attempts to get construction shut down during COVID, I won't forget that in a hurry.
In what kind of bonkers parallel universe does ANYBODY think that it's acceptable that a foreign student would need to bring their families with them to the UK?
Can you imagine a Brit being given the opportunity to study abroad and then wanting to bring mum dad nan and Gramps with them as well? Totally and utterly insane.
The universities of the UK are another institution hollowed out by Blair and now rotten to the core. Nothing more than Socialist sausage factories handing out predominantly worthless degrees in exchange for £10k and for another £10k you'll get a visa (return home optional).
The birthplace of corporate woke, anti white propaganda and the acceptable face of anti semitism.
Once a place of learning and open minded debate, now a bossy paranoid extension of the labour party.
'Ironically during lockdown it was mostly jobs done by the public sector that proved to be of any great importance. '
Hahaha. The NHS closed its doors and told the sick to go home to protect it. The civil service went home on full pay and never returned. The teachers refused to teach for best part of 6 months.
The grafters were in the supermarkets, construction sites and delivery vans. Working class people bringing nice stuff to the middle class. Lockdown was the biggest mistake this country made since Blair invaded Iraq. And the biggest winners are the revolting, sanctimonious, mask wearing t ossers in the Labour Party.
I don't doubt that Starmer is supported by JP Morgan, big corporations and big money.
He is after all a soft left, pro EU globalist
'Time for the Tories to start slashing big taxes in H2 2024'
Great idea Skier. Sack 50% of the civil service and public sector and make them get real jobs like picking strawberries and asparagus. Shutdown the devolved parliaments and make all the parasites get real jobs like picking leeks and haggis.
Finally cut benefits by 50% and replace it with a recipe book and a treadmill.
Divide the trillions in savings amongst those of us that are net contributors to this great country.
Yeh saw that about 3 days ago DT, do try to keep your misery fresh if nothing else. There's no shortage of anti British misery on the British Bashing Corporation.
On the positive side the six companies that have listed in the UK this year achieved average gains of 40% and they're soon to be followed by Raspberry Pi and retail giant Shein. I'll have a bit of both of them.
Go back to bed Darth and take STP with you
@tricky125 - Labour Party supporter, lives in Russia
@StickyToffeePud- Labour Party supporter, Irishman living in Spain.
Why do either of you think UK politics is any of your business?
'Onward travel to Ireland hidden in the back of lorries now, it seems'
STP, why don't you just go in your caravan like you normally do?
STP
The UK is as far as I am aware part of Europe but no longer part of a technocratic, globalist old boys network also known as the EU
The Labour-run Welsh Government are using satellite technology to spy on homeowners with big gardens to 're-evaluate' council tax bands.
They will introduce higher council tax bands and higher tax band rates to address “property wealth” and “rebalance” the current system.
Starmer has said Welsh Labour is a blueprint for what Labour can do across the whole country.
Labours shadow chief secretary to the treasury Darren Jones said 'All our decisions are taken to get more money back into the pockets of working people. Only Labour can provide the chance our country needs.”
Spoken like a true Socialist
'17. Loft extension numbers to house these immigrants through roof.'
Lol Simones that's the most random gripe I've heard against the government, I'm not saying you've got too much time on your hands but blimey. ' what do we want!!?...'LESS LOFT EXTENSIONS!!!..'when do we want it ??!' ..'NOW!!!!'
Starmers number one priority is a return to the EU. Either in full or outside the EU in name only. Starmer won't give a toss what he promised before the election. It's why he's got massive media support and big money behind him despite no policies whatsoever.
They don't even appear to be the Labour party anymore, just a slightly more woke version of the Lib Dems. They'll solve mass illegal immigration by making it legal and the BBC will simply stop reporting on it. The biggest corporations will be protected. Small businesses, self employed and private pensions will foot the bill. The white, working class will be treated with the same contempt they have been since Blair.
Any dissent will be crushed by Hate Laws. Criticism of immigration and islam will be illegal.
I would say the Lloyds share price will be way down the list of real Brits concerns within 3 years of a Starmer government.
Starmers speech today was aimed squarely at the illegal immigrants and people smugglers in France.
'Keep coming, discredit the Rwanda scheme, when we're elected you can stay as long as you like '
TFE, was Natalie Elphicke next to Rachel Reeves taking the knee? Waving a Palestinian flag?
Natalie Elphicke in Jeremy Corbyn out lol.
MWarava it's weird for sure to the point of deeply suspicious.
Her statement reads like it was written by Starmer and she was forced to read it out at gunpoint. Dover MP trusting Labour to deliver on reducing illegals is absurd. It's not like the left hides their love of open borders
What a vile women, her arguments don't stack up in any way, shape or form.
Her punchline is..'Labour has accepted Brexit' hahaha hahahahahaha fkn lol
