so a vaccine is produced, remind me how you know that it has worked? nothing to do with checking for antibodies is it?? oh and how can you check for antibodies at home without putting pressure on the nhs and having a blood test at your gp or hospital?? if only there was a home testing kit...
am I missing something.. if and it's an if at the moment, antibody testing is worthless, the company shifts production to antigen. They said it was fairly easy to do. So demand is still there. nothing has changed. just a different product line.
found hsbc letter and they say 'shares resulting from the open offer are due to be paid on or around 7 July....We'll do our best to apply the shares as soon as possible after this date.... there may be occasions outside of our control where it will take longer than we'd like to update your account....
covering every eventuality!
nothing showing in my hsbc account yet.
This reads very positively
The Rapid Test Consortium, involving Oxford University and four UK manufacturers - BBI Solutions, Abingdon Health, CIGA Healthcare and Omega Diagnostics - has claimed its device, which uses a finger prick of blood to produce results in 10 minutes, is highly accurate.
Sir John Bell, Regius Professor of Medicine at Oxford University, who has been overseeing the government's antibody testing validation and strategy, said: "We've really set the gold standard in what you need to expect from these tests and I suspect a lot of people will be really interested in what we have produced in the last couple of months."
hsbc shows the sub shares on your account then send you a letter with details on how to claim the shares. The letter should be with you in the next couple of days.
London Stock Exchange website has it for 9am today.
There is a vaccine for Hep b. You still have an antibody test to see if 1. you've had it and 2. whether the course has worked. The same principle will be in play here. You dont give people vaccinations if they dont need them. Especially when the long term side effects are unknown. It just takes one bit of negative news and people dont want vaccines. Look at MMR.
What do you think target price is before design freeze? Back to 75p?
Re-read the last RNS. The news everyone wants/is waiting for is a matter of days a way. Unless you're day trading the fluctuations in price are irrelevant. We have seen where it goes with positive news.
Sometimes the right thing to do is to speak out against the wrongs in the world. If it makes a difference I'm sure it's worth the risk of the virus from crowding.
I'm pretty sure this is the vaccine that Oxford university are working on with AZ. No connection. Vaccination is years away.
Interesting view.. covid is diminishing.. how is that happening? It is here to stay and we need to be sure there is immunity. No vaccine. There is antibody testing but not for the masses.... yet....
I'd suggest in the absence of a vaccine they are going for herd immunity but rather than in one hit, they are phasing it over time. I wouldnt be surprised to see restrictions lifted and reinstated over the next 6 months. We only know about the official figures and not those that have had it and self isolated. The only real way we'll know if the approach has worked and the real number that have had it is through antibody testing.
It is not AZN. They are working with Oxford for a vaccine. Not testing.
