Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Dear @SimonBygrave you were meant to improve Comms for #NUOG...but apart from a few retweets what have u communicated to shareholders in the last 6 months? https://twitter.com/ThisDigitalLtd/status/1110845232634085377?s=19
Anyone know how much we are paying our "press officer"!? I'm just trying to work out the cost per tweet of his!
Operations Update – Winx-1 Final Report “The early encouragement seen at Winx has not been confirmed by the results from the wireline logging program, despite many of the hallmarks of a successful Nanushuk play being present. Analysis of the data is ongoing; however, it is deemed unlikely to change the current view in a material fashion. We appreciate that this is disappointing for investors but, at the same time, we look to the future and continue our forward path to ultimate success at our projects in Alaska. An update will be provided on the broader Alaska project portfolio in the near term.” - Dave Wall. So perhaps we may have some FO news sooner than expected?
Anyone got Dave Walls email address? I like to ask him why the Ann states they are pleased to update they have a duster when the previous one said he had measured optimism but no mention of the word pleased. Very odd indeed!
Greatland Gold set to drill at big target south of Devonport https://www.theadvocate.com.au/story/5946771/gold-drilling-at-big-target-to-start-south-of-devonport/?cs=87
Great presentation from RMP in January focussing on this drill. Really boosts confidence. https://youtu.be/C0sju7Cr37g GLA
"We look forward to the read-outs of the STEM and SAS trials and expect this to be a transformative year for the Company." Dr Stephen Franklin, CEO
"Into this heady mix now steps Greatland with a world-class intercept that could well be the first of many. What’s special about the Greatland result isn’t just the grade and width. It’s also that the hole ended in mineralisation. That conceivably means that the same hole, if twinned but drilled deeper, would return even more mineralisation a second time around. Such a hole is unlikely at this stage of the game though, as Greatland is instead now bent on drilling more holes into Havieron to see just what sort of intercepts come back from the wider area. With the intercept at Havieron already banked, Greatland already has skin in the wider chess game that’s now developing around the district. Naysayers will point to the depth as a negative factor, but with Newcrest and Rio Tinto circling, that’s unlikely to be the deciding factor. For major companies like that, depths of 400 metres-plus aren’t necessarily off-putting at all. Rather 275 metres of highly mineralised ore represents a real advertisement in the shop window, and it wouldn’t be surprising if before too long one major or another appeared on the Greatland share register in quite a significant way, as well as tying up a deal at the project level too." https://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/209746/greatlands-stunning-gold-copper-intercept-at-havieron-is-the-kind-that-deals-are-made-on-209746.html
From mining news: 'Truly spectacular' results out of the Paterson Province DRILL results from Greatland Gold’s Havieron licence in Western Australia’s Paterson Province have added weight to the prospectivity of the region. https://www.miningnews.net/discovery/news/1351379/%E2%80%98truly-spectacular%E2%80%99-results-out-of-the-paterson-province

2.5 Billon Barrels Conventional Oil Potential – Farm-out/Drilling Imminent
More widely known for its Alaskan shale adventure of recent years, 88 Energy has quietly amassed a conventional oil portfolio of almost 2.5 billion barrels (net mean prospective). That is significantly more than any other junior company listed on the ASX and to top it off, there is a long list of other factors working in the Company’s favour:
•All of these resources are located in one of the oiliest places on the planet – the North Slope of Alaska, home to North America’s largest conventional oilfield Prudhoe Bay – just a lazy 15 billion barrels produced to date
•This is onshore not offshore – not quite as cheap as Texas but more cost competitive and fiscally attractive than pretty much anywhere else that has this much potential
•The North Slope was once the playground of only the majors, which resulted in significant under exploration but has opened up in recent years to smaller independents – one of whom is 88 Energy
•This has been proven out by a spate of discoveries over the last 5 years – totalling over 5 billion barrels of conventional oil – driven by both the underexploration mentioned above and advances in 3D seismic technology
•The hit rate in the last 5 years on 3D seismic is 29 from 30 wells – 5 out of 6 being pure exploration
•88 Energy has 3D seismic at all three of its conventional projects, which will be described in more detail below
•All of the work done by 88 Energy was done whilst the oil price was low – with the large increase in price this year, the time is right to do a deal
•The current share price has been depressed by a disappointing well result in mid-year followed by a rights issue – once these wash through the share price will be free to trade up in the lead up to significant news events
•News flow over the next four months is potentially transformational with a farm-out pending prior to year-end over the 2.9 billion barrel Icewine project (2.2b net to 88E) followed closely by drilling at the 400 million barrel Winx prospect (144MMBO net to 88E) in February 2019
Glad to have you back LT....great post :)
Yes....the investor Symposium today....must be convincing as investors buying in.
Can you fill in the dots? What are these two Doc's saying? Thanks 👍
