I suppose you could look at the list of opportunities available across the company https://www.harland-wolff.com/careers/ as a positive or a negative. Depends on your slant. Seem to be struggling to fill posts but at the same time nice to see them looking for so many different positions.
Possible refurb of the other ship?

Another ATL and 5% drop this morning
JW didn't seem particularly interested in the share price but who is going to be interested in investing in a company where the price only seems to go down, offers no dividend or share buy back and is probably open to a further placing in the future. I would agree that whilst the Board can't be seen to manipulate the share price they could do a darn sight better at actually promoting the company and keeping shareholders and potential investors informed. Maybe they just don't care?
Of course every single investor is going to be at a loss if they hit their all time low today
I listened in on an off as I was out. Yes I am frustrated as anyone at the share price and not overly thrilled with JWs answer on it as what is the point in investing in an AIM company with no share buy back or dividend (although I was pleased to hear those mentioned) if the share price doesn't raise. However I am impressed they have increased revenue along the few years and they have provided employment for 1000 odd people especially in yards that had closed or were well down in numbers so that has to be congratulated especially as some of the macro economic factors have been difficult to say the least.
Yes I want a return on my investment and no I don't want to wait forever but I would be willing to believe that they are making progress. Appropriate to NI well known saying peace comes dropping slow.... applies to progress for H&W also.
Its a joke, more buys than sells and the ask keeps dropping
Congratulations to H&W on the contract win. I believe both ships can fit alongside eachother in Appledore. Good to see that yard busy for the next few years. Well done.
The lack of updates/news stories/twitter updates is so frustrating. A good company should use regular social media posts as a means of generating interest even if there is no contract news, tell a workers story, what an apprentice is doing etc etc. It would be good for them to update progress from the various sites etc.... just the basics. Such a long period of no news just breeds uncertainty.
They all look like buys given the prices
Down 90%. gave me a heart attack
Was at least interesting that Def Sec thought H&W having a better range of facilities was a good move and the point on FSS and foreign bidders willing to invest in UK yard infrastructure was interesting
Watched a bit last night. Our NI government is such a disaster and joke I doubt they have done much to work with NSO with regards to the vessels the NI govt were looking that Defence Sec read straight from the strategy document. G Robinson is the local MP but it didn't sound like there was much news. Defence Sec barely knew they had a yard in Scotland never mind two.
Interesting that the spread has tightened. Perhaps market makers looking for shares.
They were in the dock back at the investor day. One was in for a repaint from memory
Standard comment from HMRC. As if you would expect them to admit being wrong even if they were!
Early July for audited accounts was stated at the investor day.
