The whole market is down at the moment. Still believe this is a good long term hold. Can't wait for the next trading update with moth balled factories re opening. So tempting to have another top up at these prices

Harrycash, Yes it's far too volatile at the moment for me, I'll wait to see if it settles down a little however it's good to see it didn't fall further today. The whole market seems to be one big game at the moment, just sitting tight !

Averaging down, very dodgey on this one. Every time the price drops your overall investment drops. Do you keep averaging down piling more money into a sinking price hoping you can hit the lows and then hit any highs.?? ok if you have a crystal ball. Some call it trading, I prefer to call it gambling , but that seems to be the game to some people. Look at the price movements over the past few months and DYOR. This posting will probably push the price up, (it couldn't get much lower....or could it.....".pay your money and take your chance"....... if that's your style...but I'm afraid too volatile for me. but GLA

Steady progress. Marshalls last week reported excellent progress and increased orders with an upgraded broker forcast ; citing the improving construction market. No reason why this shouldn't follow towards 300p, Marshalls are almost back to pre covid levels so I've every confidence in Ibstock and a dividend due in a couple of weeks.

Traderlongterm/ Pompey leo; Be wary of some of the comments on this board. 4 months ago this was being ramped , then went from circa 325 right down to 200 Suddenly the board went quite ( well worth a look back) Now it is on the rise a similar pattern is again emerging. It's great to see such a rise but do your own research and take some comments with a pinch of salt ! This is a volatile share

Went x dividend on the 12 August with our 2.5p due on 17th september

This new arrangement is very similar to the one carried out by IPF about 9 months ago and appears to have been succesfull for them. (worth visiting Fixed income Investor discussion page see IPF for how it unfolded) Ihave only a 2K holding so will vote for this arrangement and hopefully enjoy the 8.5% and subsequent uplift in price. Will be intresting to know how long the extension period will be

Yes , the RNS looks good. Almost back to the pre covid levels. The share price then touched 325p so plenty of oppurtunity to climb back

What makes you think this Cereus ?, The price has disappointingly fallen back recently but I believe it will pick up with the surge in construction and the opening of the mothballed factories. I did top up at 214 (that's why it dropped back to 212)

The IHS/CIPS construction purchasing managers index for May rose to 62.4 with housebuilding being the best performing sector. All bodes well for Ibstock Also read this week that Boris is proposing large discounts for first time buyers purchasing new homes.
