The currently much maligned ST had a buy tag here once upon a time from memory...do we know if he has withdrawn it from here (or just Naibu)? Has always seemed the better of the two in my opinion, even on superficial such as website, transparency of RNSs, etc. I will probably buy here in the next month or so. It's already cheap, but TW's short tips seem to carry something of a follower (no idea why) so I will wait and watch for the next couple of weeks to see how this settles.

I avoided it thankfully! It is now an avoid for me on those results. Easy to say in hindsight, but was never particularly fond of the business concept...think it had just come on my radar after seeing how well jolly and others played the swing last time.

Still quite a big spread mind. Will personally flip thisin coming days given pattern in charts, but GL to Kums and others who are holding for the bigger gains longer term.

My understanding is that it clears the way...but that both H1 and H2 2014 need to be profitable before it gets the green light. Will probably get a reference to it in the H1 and maybe a trading update / outlook statement.

DD - I wouldn't let that brief rise put you off - I would hope for a further 20-30% between now and Christmas. Even that would leave it below El1te's low case target. Dependant on wider market events of course. I think to really re-rate (and move in line with Cenkos and WHI) it would need wider coverage, such as an ST tip. Jolly - That's 19567-1 on our scoreboard then! My timing is usually horrid. I'm not counting any chickens yet...share your scepticism of people businesses. Lex (in FT) ran a good piece on Barclays earlier this year, describing BARC as a "parasitic worker co-operative". I think the reinstatment of the dividend here would prevent similar criticism.

Mine is the monster buy. I liked the reviews by Paul Scott and El1te, unusual to get the opportunity to buy at a discount to them and so close to TNAV. I will add if it falls. I'm not sure what may occur 'chart wise' if it falls below 132p? Chart is distorted by consolidation so support levels seem irrelevant. Disco/Libero - I'm not too concerned regarding the IPO bubble burst, if you have a look at the recent transactions section of PMR's website you can see that they brokered less IPOs in H1 2014 than they did in H1 2013...but the trading statement said profit had risen. The implication being that revenues are growing significantly elsewhere within the business. Happy with most aspects here. For balance, the main negative imv is the lack of director buying - if this is cheap, why don't they fill their boots?

Is there a reference to them being released next week or have you inferred that from the release of prior announcements?

Legacy sellers perhaps. Down almost 20% on my buy in just a few weeks. Woe is me lol. Quite confident long term, but where are the catalysts for re-rate? Results within 179 days according to website...

Didn't invest here, but have followed in light of prior enthusiasm from Jolly and Blue. I have to agree Jolly, it's very poor form to allow such little meaningful comparison between the results. Unnecessarily opaque...something quite arrogant about doing that without mention? Concur re conflict of interest too. Dan - nice to see you back, and talking like Sean Connery too. You'll get there eventually, you seem to be doing most things right in my opinion. I say this as a fellow novice investor! I think I saw you ask for book recommendations some time ago? I McKinsey's 'Valuation: Measuring and Managing the Value of Companies' recommended to me by someone in M&A. Haven't bought it yet.

Blue - nice post Wed 15:38! Ha. I note the AGM is tomorrow, are any of you going to be in attendance? I think a change of name would be prudent, ironically 'Renovo' is almost a scar on the present company... Jolly, where do you see (the rather subjective) 'fair value' to lie here? The comparison with OPM is straightforward (and creates a strong investment case here), but I note you remain bullish there in spite of relatively high multiple?

Thanks Dan. I think you've captured the sentiment well with the 'Chinese aim apathy' . I hope that the mall would attract interest from other buyers if the arbitration does not end favourably - even a sale below market value would be fantastic for the share price.

After watching for a while I made an initial purchase here today. Profitable business, solid interims, dividend. Following the loan cancellation I believe it would be slightly undervalued even without the potential arbitration windfall. I noticed a few comments regarding the arbitration on iii, in relation to ongoing legal costs and questioning the integrity of the legal system there. Arbitration costs are likely to be fixed, and from I can see we are an additional claim rather than the primary plaintiff and will probably pay a smaller percentage of these fees than the 49% holder. The HK legal system is near identical to that of England and Wales; and is entirely reliable. Arbitration can be lengthy, but we are surely near the conclusion. Smudgedan, I've noticed you've done well with your China/HK picks, hopefully this will be another feather in your cap!

I feel Ukraine situation will send gold on a short term bull run - any thoughts on gold miners sans geo-political risk? PGD/POG/AAZ/PAF all off limits for me in this context.

The results are skewed slightly by the change by the fair value of the biological assets. However, costs have risen faster than inflation, fruit juice sales are down again and further costs expected relating to the soil. Cash position is still strong, but interim dividend canceled, as expected. I'd say a hold from that information, but frankly am slightly concerned about the implications of Mr Tong Sr. Stepping down, hopefully his successor is willing to purchase his holding!

Good news today - without going back through previous announcements is that sale figure as anticipated? NAV update now imminent. I'm fully committed elsewhere at present, but look forward to buying here in months to come, keep missing the dips.

Interesting: £3m m/c, 8.75% dividend, c.£2m loan waived this week. Co. accepted c.£10m offer for some non core assets, buyer in arbitration, update on 28/02/14. Need to look more closely at balance sheet, but on first glance profitable with good contracts. Slight preference for HK vs rest of PRC. Interested: 'flattery corrupts both the receiver and the giver'- but I respect your opinion.

You're right regarding the NAV and probably the current shareprice. Dividend won't remain at that level, how could it? My understanding (happy to be corrected) is that co pays it out of operating cashflows, which will be lower than last year (at least for H1), so will have to be reduced/suspended? Jolly do you like UVEL? Interesting prospect, with the kind of dull product you praise elsewhere!
