26% isn't a bad return being honest - I'm down about 18% on this currently :(
@buzz53118 - i did the same with IAG - lets see which side of the bed it gets out of and if it's in a happy mood or sour face cow.....lol
Who knows what tomm will bring- its not behaved as expected for a LONG time :(
I like others have QUITE a bit invested in this and have been sitting on about 15% loss for a LONG time now. If had just gone b*lls deep into RR i would be a very happy chappy :)
@SullyWorld - 'Are IAG going to get Nuclear contracts this year?? I haven't been keeping up with the latest IAG news.'
That made me laugh - are RR going to be involved aswell :)
Here's hoping for RR style liftoff tomm :)
@NuckyT - a few 100K is life changing in my opinion.
it opens up so many options, it can take 5/10 years to earn a few 100 in savings.
I see a SEA of red on my screen and yet RR keeps marching in the opposite direction - what an AMAZING share this has turned out to be for the LTH's ;)
Here is hoping for a FANTASTIC £4.50+ by end of 2024 :)
Looking at the performance of late and especially this week, so CLOSE to the results (Which by all accounts will be good) make me wonder if we will get anywhere close to £2 this year :(
In for a penny in for a pound - i'm considering a 50% additional top-up to bring my average down from 1.80 ish in anticipation of Friday - this has been a dog of a share for SO long we MUST be due a Dog BONE :)
"TBH I actually expected this; it's normal to get a big boosts followed by a dip then a gradual climb to the new bottom."
Not sure i would even consider this a 'DIP' at 1% ish drop, admittedly we had the fall/dip yesterday from the 12/13% down to 8% ish close, this is just the tail of that dip in my opinion.
I'm pretty sure no LTH is going to lose sleep over a 1% drop after the MAMMOTH 12 months or so we have had :)
Seems to me 'Berenberg Bank' may have missed out on the rise and now are sulking :)
What a DAY!!!!
That retirement in the sun, is looking more and more sunnier :)
It's OK - profit taking is allowed on a day like today and share like this for SOME...
be strong - Hold the line..... HOLD THE LINE :)
I had a 5 year view on all my investments that i bought when i went in B*** D*** in 2021. Since then i have played a little and made a few quid and lost a few quid.
However, that 5 year view on all the GOOD investments i have has not changed. I never had a hard sell target and i still don't.
If i feel a share is heading down, I will sell and take the profit/loss but at this moment i see nothing but clear blue skies for RR. :)
@thriller40- I am also watching IAG closely and will add significantly to my holding once i am happy that its moving and not coasting :)
Being realistic - there probably will be a slight pull back from today's close (unless we get dragged down massively on close today) but we are running on full power now and all things being equal we should see £4 this year.
If this was 25 years ago - I would beg/borrow/steal and buy 50k Amazon shares, and forget about them till 2025 :)
Gotto be honest - when I lost the 75K on Telewest back in the early 2000, i was STUPID and did not have the the money to loose. Took me many MANY years to recover from that and i left the market after that for LONG time :)
I was stupid / young and had borrowed money to invest - Not sure i should be admitting that to seasoned / well informed and sensible investors on here :)
@Openeyes i can beat that 75K on Telewest / 15K on Bradford and Bingley - to mention the BIG ones. - It's ONLY money, so they tell me :)
If the US gives us a push we could see a 15/20% day today - when did we become a AIM share 🤣🤣🤣
