Anyone heard whether Alvar are holding their short ? One would imagine they'll cash in profit on or around the 18th....

Existential? Interesting thought experiment: how much would be paid for Parsortix if it were separated from the (diagnostics) company and sold simply on an IP basis (with FDA approval). Based on demand so far, maybe not much - but we all know that was due to AN's incompetence - so I'd suggest it is worth in the region of £20 - 30M. Thoughts? The diagnostic company would be worth peanuts, of course....

(btw I still have not bought any shares as 1p seems most likely).

No one knows at what price, that's why. 2p looks favorite, but Parsortix is worth a lot more than that, so a bit of talking turkey and the big investors may agree to start at a higher price - who knows where....personally I hope for 1p!

No, I didn't say they'd mentioned 2p, but that 'price action' suggested 2p. The new crew will have spoken to their big investors who backed the management change, hence the dip in price, which has then held steady around the 2p mark (approx). With big players shorting, forward selling, taking positions for the raise, the base has revealed itself (IMO)...

I feel the price action since the new management and name change suggests they have always been talking about a 2p raise. Not sure if I'd do that....

Be careful RNF - if there are no deals forthcoming then the raise will hurt the SP significantly

Still looks to me as if there have been murmurings about a raise at 2p - if the SP doesn't hold then it will be 1p - which actually may be good value...

I'm still a long way away from investing again (I sold £80K worth at 156p, imagine if I'd held on....£1K!), but could be tempted by 1p.

I guess they hope to appeal to specialist pharma investors (geeks). It will depend on the raise price - judging on this morning's action, I think they've told large investors they are aiming for 2p - good luck with that - they should have just done it....
