come on Barnet get real - AN has been worse than useless but Angle is still very solvent (at least for another year) and although will need to raise funds at some point, may also (one hopes) have a host of deals to announce (probably a cluster of small ones as per the horrendous update RNS) BUT we know there are bigger fish interested in Parsortix, Abbot especially, so bigger deals/joint ventures are absolutely possible, even likely. I'm hoping to load as many as possible as we approach AGM....

I don't think that's what's happening guys - my read is we have a ii wanting out and likely selling before April 5, along with a fair few who made good profits on the FDA announcement. So the BoD are just going to sit it out until AGM approaches and then release a pack of news to rocket-propel the SP, then do a placement higher up (no idea where, hardly worth speculating). If I were on the board I'd be saying to Abbot: "fancy coming in on the prostate application for 50% of future profits?" (for about £25M upfront) but they would need to have the results for this....

yep looks about right, I just hope it stays down there a while...the rise on news is going to be spectacular - my sense is they've decided to gather a number of items together for pre-AGM simultaneous publication. So everyone selling before April 5, then we'll see what happens...

agreed Fever - though we also had AN's purchase, which is why I feel all the news will come after April. Plenty (including me) selling at this low price to offset losses against profits in the summer. I will buy back heavily (and hopefully before the SP goes back up) once HMRC rules permit.

what have I missed EB? I said some while ago that I'd be buying back heavily in April (3 months after AN bought some) so I'm not bothering to look much atm. If the SP is super low, that will suit me, if it bounces then I'll also be happy because I am well underwater like everyone else (though only 5K compared to £100K profit at FDA). But realistically news will come late next month or early May - not much we can do about it....just trying to get my timing right....

I'm agreeing with you EB that AN has been worse than rubbish - no one could have guessed he would be so useless following FDA approval, and so trashed the SP. However Parsortix is still being used in research centres worldwide - we know this from countless peer review papers, all of which are exceptional. I expect the prostate trial to be so too. Let's hope the new BoD recruits are sorting out the contracts whilst Newland cowers from his shareholders.

I always get replies EB - sometimes takes a day or two. LTIP would need to be voted down - it's immoral but in the scheme of things, fairly paltry. If AN gets this past 55p I won't begrudge him his dirty pile.

I agree with you in many respects EB - and indeed I do think AGL is a 'Strong Buy' at these prices - but AN has mismanaged success woefully - he should certainly leave his position. I have done ok from the share due to selling on the FDA news - I made a lot of money, but have now lost about half of that profit (I began rebuying heavily in the 60s, sure that even AN couldn't take it lower). So like everyone else, I hope for news soon or a buy out, finding it hard to believe that the company would accept less than the 80p fundraise.

I expect he does EB - his personal assets have dropped in value by around £8 million.

if by slow burner you mean a £6000 gain in 2 days, then I wonder what coming good will look like? I'm taking profits after Monday to add to AGL though....similar situations....

I'm buying in today - the RNS has hints that plenty is going on behind the obvious....

you know the answer already zeb - the problem is there but not well known or costed (expensive tissue biopsy). Unfortunately the AN purchase yesterday suggests no one has yet taken proper notice - expect at least a further 3 month delay (otherwise the FCA would be onto him) - he's been late on every piece of guidance issued. I am a buyer at 29 but am in no rush....

the IP is worth a lot more than £1 per share Emerald - problem is AN wants to hang onto it at all costs (to his shareholders).
My hope is that someone like Abbott make a merger/partnership approach.

but in fact I think jolly has hit the nail - arrogance is presently in the way of success. AN simply has to wise up and talk sensibly to Abbott. If he can get past his big head, he'll recognise he has delayed the deployment of Parsortix and therefore is acting contrary to his (claimed) ambitions.
