WOS- I'm aware of the DQE deal in general but since we don't yet know the detail, it's prudent that of course we needed to have capital ready to rapidly fund the Block XX multi well expansion at the front end

Just had a detailed read of the latest presentation and noticed they've said $1mill for further wells in Block XX and possibly lower because of economies and those further south being potentially shallower. Given they didn't need to say it might be that low . I think its all looking good for rapid expansion at Block XX once we get the LP .

In the latest MB interview at around 9.55 mins he says the herders with grazing rights in Block XX are being offered other rights or compensation even though Matd hope to offer them access to the exploitation area as well. ….
Maybe the offer of a Toyota Land Cruiser and a vehicles life time supply of fuel to each of them would speed this process up !!!

Ojay - I agree with you, there are too many " back seat driver" moaning about progress on here and thinking they know better.
You're invested in a frontier country thats moving from a nomadic herdsman based culture & society to a resource rich developing country. They don't yet have effiecient institutions which appreciate timescales and being proactive.

So am I Ojay , the LP will come one day when we least expect it and likely within next 2-3 months, judging by the comment about Central, Provincial & District backing in the RNS, then its all systems go on several fronts.
Lets face it the MG can't not push this over the line or it'll make a mockery of all foreign inward investment, the whole " bid for new licences" process etc

bigbench- < MATD have a long relationship in the country, The Gov want this up and running.. The refinery is on course, we are linking up with a renewables firm for future plans.. in the months ahead MATD will be a completely different company..with a much higher SP>
I couldn't have put it better myself other than to add that MATD have a major Mongolian company as a significant shareholder, are now fully funded and even though they have a slow bureaucratic system the MG must want an in country rival for PC not only to lessen their dependance on China but independently develop their resources. Plus act as a yard stick by which to get PC to shape up environmentally.

Dozzwaba- isn’t it just a case of :- Central Government trying to redress the imbalance as seen by the locals and before they grant another oil company any rights they need to be seen to have put the offending existing oil company on a better footing with the locals . Once that is seen to be done overriding the locals permit is still there but cajoling them to grant it themselves should be more palatable.!?
